  1. Guys, gotta say. What products, yes there are not cheap but boy are they great. I've used most products meguires giving the best shine till now. Swissvax gave the best shine I have ever seen on mine or other vehicles. Even when it was at the local Lexus garage, it out sparkled a brand new being picked up is300. The guy picking it up noticed and commented lol poor sales bloke. I would recommend these to anyone who is like me a ocd car detailer (not cleaner)

  2. Hi Guys, suggestions wanted on what colour should i paint my Brake Calipers?

I have an IS200 Sport in Graphite Sky (perfect body condition - clean every week)

also i after a Sports Grill to for the above.

    suggestions taken and advice :D

  3. If you go through Lexus mate you're probably looking at paying a lot of money. It'll be cheaper to go to an independant place mate. Also try scrap yards etc for the parts needed or even ebay :)

Hi Buddy i work at a Scrap Yard (Been here 14 Years) and to date we have not had a Lexus Car in at all! had a Rolls Royce, Jaguars, Bentleys Porches etc, but no lexus!

    Perhaps i would try eBay

  4. Sorry to say i had my IS200 Rear Qtr Light smashed last night as some bored little f**ker tried to get in to my car :crying: , unfortunate for him the alarm went off and i was only in my mates over the road, but before i could get there he was over the wall and gone. B******. :tsktsk:

I have a new rear qtr light but it is now missing the Sports logo, anyone know where i can get one?

Also is there any Gold Member discount hehe. Maybe looking for a sports grill too this month!

    Thanks guys

  5. Warning to you all i had the same sorta promblem, had wheels balanced and checked - all was fine for a day or two but then cam back, The problem was the Brake Caliper was sticking - Lexus Guildford changed it for me for the Cheep sum of £550 inc fitting (they did it str8 away too) :o

  6. stu_moo15@hotmail.com

Have notice that my IS 200 Sport has been chip whilst on the motorway  .  Anyone know where i can get the stone chip paint from (its a Graphite Sky - Met Dk Grey). I live in Portsmouth Hants - and i have only seen i other graphite grey IS 200 around!

Hi Stu. I have the same colour IS as you and brought myself a touch up kit from my local dealer. Comes with 'Toyota' all over it, but I wasn't surprised by that.

How much did it cost you could i ask?

  7. http://www.cover-zone.co.uk/index.htm make custom covers, else it's Halfords I'm afraid (afaik).  Be careful though, I once covered one of my cars with a plastic sheet, 2 months later the seal on teh sun roof started to rot away!  so Make sure you air it often (though I guess you after a cover for when your parked up.)

Another alternative would be a large bed sheet or a shower curtain, both of which I have used before when I had a company car parking space that used to leak chalky white water all over the roof of the car.

    Hope that helps :)

Yeah it is only for when it is parked up at work and home. Tree's dont we all love the sap dripping on our cars

  8. Get it replaced at dealers if your still under warrenty ;)

unfortunately that ran out in December! only started this month misting

assuming there is no crack or hole in the glass the most likely cause is the seal that bonds the glass to the unit is incomplete and allowing moist air in, also check where the bulb fitment enters the light (these are standard lights, right?) there should be a rubber grommet there is this fitting ok? there is a post on the forum explaining how to dismantle the headlights and remove and refit the glass, i can't remember where though.

Probably best getting a new head lamp. will try on e-bay

  9. Right guys,

Need your advice before I go ahead like a bull in a china shop and ruin my car.

The interior in my (X plate- 2000) model is looking a bit tired and I want put the 'life' back into the leather/sueade interior, but my question is what products should I use to clean the sueade bits on the seats and doorcards?

Also, what products should I use to clean the leather on the seats? Do I go to somewhere like Halfords and buy a dedicated leather cleaning/restoring product?  Recently I bought a leather sofa for my living room and it came with a leather cleaning/restoring kit which contains some solution that you dilute with water to clean the leather and some cloths, so I was wondering should I use this leather cleaning/restoring kit in the IS? Will this leather cleaning kit for my sofa damage the leather in my IS?

Thought I'd ask you guys what you use to clean the leathers in your IS's.

And before anyone asks I tried to do a search, but I could find anything on this topic.

    Thanks gor your help.

    Kam

I use autglym products they are quite good
