  1. I would imagine the front castor and camber are not readily adjustable on a Lexus so it's most likely to be toe. I'd certainly get a second opinion on the tracking setup, preferably as part of a 4-wheel laser-alignment.

    Hope this helps.

Camber is adjustable and castor is indirectly adjustable. These should be aligned correctly not just the toe.

I had my tracking done by the agent on the 10/2/05 took 2.5 hrs to do all four wheels and cost £60.00+vat but hey guys worth ever penny, no more twitching about at any speed now.

  2. Anyone using the TOMTOM GO in their Lex? What do you think of it? Good points, bad points etc.?

Been looking into it at the moment. Ive heard something about some cars needing a seperate antenna?

Would it matter where I mounted it or would the signal be the same where ever I put it?

Im thinking about trying to get a OEM nav housing and trying to mount it in there. Would it physically fit?

Sorry for all the questions and thanks in advance. :winky:

Hiya, i have tomtom go in my lexus gs300 sport and i have it to the right of the dashboard right hand pillar however i have put it in all different places and no difference, it works well anywhere and the suppplied suction bracket is great, no need for seperate antenna.

  3. I previously used to use Autogylm super resin polish, then mer, then tried turtle wax extreme polish. Anyway, I never got the really deep shine I saw on other cars, which always bothered me.

Then a newsletter came from LOC and one of the offers was for www.lexuscarcare.com, from which I bought the perfect shine kit.

Comes with everything you need, including the BEST buffing towels I have ever used. (No lint at all, plus no waxing dust either).

I just tried it today on my 12 year old LS400, and what can I say, not like a brand new car, but definitely makes the car stand out on the road. The paint shows much more depth to the colour now, and on most body panels, it really is like a mirror! Driving around London today, I could see people looking at the car. The neighbours must have thought I was nuts getting up at 7.30am on a Sunday to wash the car, but lots noticed the shine when finished. The major difference in the kit is the P21s carnuba wax, which I have never used before.

Hopefully tomorrow I get the camera and take a piccie and you can judge for yourselves. I just hope the deep shine lasts even through rain or being parked under trees.

I'm well chuffed with the results so far.

    Will keep you updated.

  4. Due to get the car any day now so Im looking at cheaper Insurence first place I checked was my current insurer Direct Line which quoted me just under £800 fully comp with 5 years protected no claims, I dont have any points or previous claims and Im 31 and will be parking on the Street.

What do you pay for yours?

    and who with?

    cars a GS300 Sport /Nav

Hiya, i have renewed my insurance for the Lexus gs 300 sport with Saga Insurance , i am 58 and the quote was £200.00 ceaper than Direct Line , so Saga won.
