  1. As i was researching about the is200 diff....i thought our AT 1gfe 4speed was equipped with a 4.3

But as i check the VIN plate..it turned out it was a 4.1

I am thinking of swapping it with a 4.3 or 4.5....anyone know our final drive is a 7.5" F series?

    Yes.

The is200 and Altezza (gxe10 and sxe10) are F series 7.5" with differents shafts but not the is300(jce10).

  3. TBH apart from LGV and PSV's I have never even seen Ethanol E85 available?? only LPG and that isn't worth the outlay unless you are doing huge miles.

There are a few stations in UK http://www.arunautogas.co.uk/E85-UK_ethano...ng_stations.htm

The E85 conversion is more cheap than LPG, around 200 to 700 euros, depend on the system (complete self-operating and auto detect mixture or not). Only need to modify the air fuel ratio with a piggy back. I think it's very interesting.

  4. Dumb question I know, but I've never driven an auto.

My favourite type of driving is, shall we say "spirited" down country roads, so I think I prefer a manual gearbox. However, I've seen some nice auto cars and I don't want to discount them based on something I've read if you know what I mean.

So, is there a noticeable difference in performance or economy between the two types of transmission or am I being overly fussy.

    thanks

    Ade.

0-60 is quicker in the manual and also mpg is better in the manual

    pp

IMO the mpg is better in the auto and in normal drive is quicker too :tomato:

even the official Lexus figures state the auto is slower, and uses more fuel than the manual....

thats what i was thinking too
