  1. ive recently bumped mine and I had the same worries....

I took mine to lexus birmingham and theyre quote was 12k.... It was far too high.... I wasnt impressed with theyre level of service... alll they wanted was to get as much money out of my insurance company as possible. They asked me to leave the car there as they sub let body repairs to another company. Once i got the quote i was shocked, theres no way that much damage to my car... and i felt they would write off my car. I asked for my car back only to be told they were charging me storage costs..... £250 for 3 days,......

so ive taken it to an insurance approved garage so hopefully i should get it back soon

  2. hi all

My recent car troubles are ever escalating. Lexus Birmingham have quoted £12k to fix my car.... are they having a laugh....

i went in for a quote and it ended up that they recommend me not to drive it home, so following their advice i left it with them. after thinking about their ridiculous quote i decided to check out a few more garages... only to find out i cant take my car as they are charging my insurance storage fees.... 4 days £245.00....

guess my insurance is gonna rocket after all this....

  3. HEY GUYS....

I WAS ON MY WAY TO CAMARTHEN WALES ON THE M4 WHEN EVERYTHING WENT PETE TONG.

AFTER A WHOLE YEAR OF MODDING AND I FINALLY GOT MY CAR LOOKING SO MUCH BETTER... IT ALL WENT PETE TONG.

THE M4 IS A CRAP MOTORWAY... ITS BLOODY CRAP... IF YOU HAVE NEVER BEEN ON THERE IT IS A DISCRACE.

I WAS ON THERE IN THE OVERTAKING LANE AND I WENT OVER THE WHITE LINE. NOW INSTEAD OF HAVING ADDITIONAL TARMAC AFTER THE WHITE LINE (MOST HAVE ATLEAST A TYRE WIDTH TO ALLOW YOU TO GET BACK INTO LANE....) THE M4 HAS NOTHING. THE CAR FELL INTO THE GRAVEL WHILST I WAS DOING 70MPH!!! IT SPUN ROUND SO HARD I DID A 180 AND HIT THE BARRIER... IF THAT WASNT ENOUGH I WAS SENT HURDING IN THE AIR TO THE EMBANKMENT ON THE OTHER SIDE OF THE ROAD FACING ONCOMING TRAFFIC. LUCKILY LANDING THE RIGHT WAY UP.

MY CAR IS NOW TOTALLED..... MY BABYS NEW SHOES ARE TRASHED AND P ZERO TYRES POPPED... SUSPENSION DOESNT LOOK THE BEST AND THE BACK END.... SPEECHLESS....

IM GUTTED.... MY BABY IS REALLY POOORLY NOW....

    SEE FOR YOURSELVES....

  4. That's cool then mate, thought it might have been a serious problem

Do you find that the ride is better with the 18's?

yeah the ride it brilliant... i really impressed with them. I have had it lowered 30mm with tte springs from prolex and with the new wheels its amazing. I need to get down to wheels-in-motion to get my geometry set up, as that was a problem before i got the new ones.

  5. Really? Something doesn't sound right there mate, what problem are you getting? I it that the radius of the entire alloy is too big or is it that it won't fit all the way down? This is a stupid question but has the locking nut thing been removed from the wheel well?

You should be able to fit a full 17 or 18 inch alloy plus tyre into that space...

The car hasn't had an accident or something has it?

i have removed the locking bolt, it did fit in before and i used the spare for a bit, and just recently i cant get it to fit... it might be that i have too much tyre pressure.... i reckon i can get it to fit, i was just too tired to play around with it after i changed all four wheels

  6. They sorted out the alloys for £155 each plus VAT, I got a set of four, as my bank balance cant take any more modding.... I was told for the spare i would need to get a compressor kit as the wheel is too big for the tyre space... so i might pick one up in a couple of weeks.

the wheels i got were six spoke, a lot of the guys on here already have them.

  7. hey guys....

I had to tell you all that i finally got my baby some new shoes.... After months of deliberating and switching from tte to oz to *** knows..... I finally decided to get some 18" Lexus sports alloys.... I think they suit the car really well and really just beef it up, without looking too much.

Matthew at Lexus Teeside sorted me out a treat. I got the alloys wraped in pirelli P zero rosso tyres, brand spanking with center caps for £155 plus VAT each. The tyres are worth that alone... bargain....

Lexus Reading were charging me £325 for the alloy wheel alone....

anyway got them on yesterday and now i need to see dr bones....

  8. I paid £460 for my 80k service at lexus sutton coldfield. It is expensive but it is in line with other manufacturers. The level of customer service was top notch and I was given a nice courtesty car too.

Oh well got to pay the costs to live the lifestyle....
