The said dealer has asked me if I wanted to pay the warranty myself at an cost of £865 for 1 year and £1634 for 2 years this cost for what is meant to be one of the best reliable cars in the world is really out of this world?
Well, If you want to extend the warranty on a three year old Mercedes E Class 320 CDI it will cost you £1006 for the first year! How old is your car because to extend the warranty on a three year old LS 430 is about £750 per year so my local dealer tells me.

....... would you buy any Lexus if it was indeed missing?
No , I don't suppose he would but that's what you have done! You seem to know all about consumer affairs and yet you have failed to abide by the golden rule " Buyer beware ". You also seem to be making a big thing about a disability.....can you tell me what that's got to do with buying a car? I am disabled myself but I don't think it has ever interfered with me making purchases! If you are genuine then I wish you all the best but I fear not!

That's probably the case but I drive a Toyota Landcruiser! Waiting on Jemca finding me a 56 plate LS 430 though!

The parts department at Lexus Croydon is the same as the Toyota one. They do a 10% discount for Gold Membership or they used to!

It sometimes feels a little lost at low speed driving but it does learn your driving style and adapts to it......
Perhaps its trying to tell you something!!

Seems bloody good value to me! :winky: Good luck to you!!

I too get extremely upset and almost traumatised when reading car magazines and how Lexus cars never get appreciated for their true qualities. At one point I used to walk into WHSmiths, and if I found a review of Lexus versus Audi, BMW, Merc and the Lexus got slated, then I would immediately get into a rage, and swiftly tear up every single copy of that magazine.
I have now been banned from every WHSmiths within the M25 region. However, my passion for Lexus burns as strong as ever.
I think you'll will soon be visited by people wearing white coats!!

Hi. If you go to www.carpages.co.uk and look for Lexus news for 8th November 2003 it gives you a 6 page write up on the newer model with all the enhancements. It is definately worth upgrading if you've got the money!
Stewart.
EDIT: Clicky.

I had my IS200 serviced there about 3 months ago. I also had a lot of extra work done like cam-belt and asscociated bits and was very well pleased with the whole thing.
I have one possible reservation. I only washed my car thoroughly the other day for the first time since the service, and discovered some fine whiteish over-spray pretty much all over the car. It may not have come from there at all, but I can't think of anywhere else I've been that could have done it, as it's fairly evenly distributed all over, so I'm fairly ****** off, but obviously don't know who to be ****** off at.
Might be just worth mentioning it to Kevin (the boss man at ABM) by asking if they have any plans to spray something while yours is in there, but like I say, I have no idea for sure that it was done while my car was there.
I would still take my car there, and will do so, but if anyone knows how to get rid of over-spray when T-Cut doesn't seem to work then that would help my mood!
Thanks for the reply. No wonder you've got the a****ole.....so would I!!. Hope the tip supplied helps.

Apparently there is a Lexus specialist, ABM Technical centre, Worsley Bridge Road, New Beckenham. Has anybody on the forum had any dealings with them and if so, would you recommend them? Any feedback would be appreciated!

Where do those figures come from? Full mobility allowance is £46.75 per week. Therefore £187 every four weeks. I think your wife must be getting some care component with her money.
