Does anyone know where we can get an aftermarket steering wheel for my altezza....so far the only one that ive seen is the TRD one and im not sure if that comes with a Boss kit.(its quite pricey as well)......i really like the Momo trek/isotta vallunga but cudnt get a listing of a boss kit for the car......

    so if anyone can offer any assistance of whats available and what the costs are, then please post up....

  2. howdy all..........

    ive just gotten a Blitz nur spec exhaust and blitz induction kit for my RS 200.....

    ive also ordered a fujitsubo manifold.....now i've been told that the best way to get the most from these mods was to get the car out on the r/r on set her up with a SAFC II or something similar......I was also told that the Apexí FC is very very good, better than the SAFC....have any of u got any info on using this piece of kit....

    any help is much appreciated....

    a month or so ago, i got a set of oz superleg's in 18, offset 40, wrapped in dunlops 225/40.....

    ive noticed that the handeling has suffered a lot, she seems a lot more wallowly when turning quickly......

    currently i only have the normal set up that comes with a 02 RS 200....with the 18's she sits fairly low but still has a lot of comfort.....

    im leaving her in to get the tracking checked next week but does anyone know if this is normal???

    secondly, to rectify this what do i need to do. this is my daily driver so ride comfort is essential....ive heard that the eibach's springs and the tte springs are very good and work with the standard shocks fine, so wud this be a good start or should i save up and get a new set up entirely......

    any help is much appreciated......

    :lol::lol: seriously tho, what else have you done to your motor? any other mods? certain colours you've gone for in the engine bay, wheels etc? its hard to advise on which colour to go for cos we dont know what the rest of your motor is like.

    have a look at the red dragon interior for reference matey ;)

    at the mo, she's dropped on eibach's adn wearing OZ Superleg (3 piece rims) in 18"......she's also got a aBlitz Nur Spec exhaust and apart from that she's standard (i dnt want to put a ki on).......

    ive a platimun ice RS200 and at the mo i've got a pair of Sparco Torino's in black/silver up front......

    i'm sending it in to get a full leather retrim in 6 weeks time but my dilemma is what kolor to go for........

    as the car is platimun ice (no silver) i dnt wanna go for d norm of grey or plain black......

    ive been thinking of a medium beige with darker beige alcantara down the centres.....

    or mayb go for black leather with dark grey leather alcantara down the centres....

    so what wud y'all rccomend i do??? feel free to post up pics of ur own retrims as well...

  7. After seeing a test on www.mkiv.com, I had my heart set on the APEXi Power Intake and bought it. No cleaning, superb filtration, and gives you some nice underbonnet "roar" :). Also where to buy it from? You've got PM :).

  8. FGK man ..... the answer to ur dreams.  I'm sure someone from the UK has it... cos i've seen it on the mod's list somewhere on this site..... im sure of it! :P.... hahahah....

    anyways, FGK (aka fujitsubo) powergetter will be perfect for u i think.  its a bit cheaper than HKS too ...

    Must admit i do LOVE the noise and noticable gains from the FGK!!!.. Quality item... very understated

    do you have any pics of this exhaust on ??? where would i b able to get one from??? how loud is it (dnt want sumthing very loud)

  10. I know that this thread has probably been done to death but i'm gonna ask (plz help :unsure: ) again...

    currently i drive a boggo standard RS 200 and im curently upgrading my exhaust.....

    im gonna use a drop in filer (prop trust/k+n) and i want a nice (non ricey) exhaust note, a bit luder than stock but not crazy either.....

    ive heard the silent hi power on the hks japanese website and dat one sounds good and ive also heard the superdrager 2 as well, a bit louder but still quite nice.....

    so what systems do you have and can anyone point me in the right dirrection....

    was just wondering is it worth while investing in a bbk......

    currently im standard all im adding will be manifold, exhaust and panel filter/induction kit.....

    my discs are starting t look a bit warped and the spurious pads on the car (previous owner) have cn better days.....

    so my question to u is what to go for:

    1) a 4pot bbk with larger rotors or

    2) uprated discs + pads and braided lines........

    could you tell me where to get parts and how much they will set me back....

    Front Rear

    4 pots 2 pots

    2 pots 2 pots

    1 pot 2 pots

    ive got brembo 4-pots and 340 mm ventilated/floating discs from my GT TDI that i never put on and depending on the set up that i currently have(if tis 4 pots up front), i mite get the brembos 'customed' to fit.....

    otherwise i mite just sell them....

  13. itb's going to be pretty steep! but would sound loverrrly would love to do the same but for performance per £ i think some boostage would be better

    I think those mods will make a significant difference especially after the remap. 245 doesn't seem unreasonable tbh

    what makes and parts are you going for?

    eeem im gettin a hks manifold and either a hks hiper full exhaust system or a blitz nur spec system, a custom made throttle body (by trackdayperformance), hks f-con and mapped on tdp's rolling roday (dynapack) :driving:

    :offtopic: Did you get insurance quotes for the mods or are you declaring them?Whats the insurance like on the standard 210bhp Altezza? I really want a supercharger for my IS but don't know if the insurance hike will permit

    the insurance is actually cheaper for me than the is200 :ohmy: im wit eagle star and they dont class it as powerful as an ordinary is200...as far as d mods go , i talked to one of the brolers on the phone and she said as long as ur not turbo or supercharging it, then it will only b an xtra few quid......

    no pics at teh mo, only got her on saturday and shes in gettin a clifford 950 today with upgraded fronr+back components, 2 kenwood 2 channel amps and a new h/u (my 1 was broken :crying: ).............

  15. hi all (im a newbie, john from dublin ireland)

    to be insuracne friendly, im gonna go the n/a tuning route for my Beams 4 cylinder engine:

    manifold, full exhaust system, cold air induction, throttle body and remapped with HKS F-Con on rolling road (all to be done by TrackDayPerformance in Ireland)......

    will this make much of a difference????

    i was told it should push her up to about 245 bhp but ive no idea what standard torque figures are and how much they will be affected by it.......

    any info is much appreciated
