Sadly, due to imminent divorce, I am forced to consider selling my beloved GS 430 Sport. The problem I have is valuing it. Its a 2003 with 87,000 miles and full Lexus service history finished in Silver. The big question is how much do members think it is worth and where would be the best place to market it?

Hi All, I have a Mk 2 GS 430 Sport which I love dearly but the course of true love does not always run smoohly! Occasionally ( maybe one time in fifty) the car will not start and appears to be completely dead or immobilised. Simply disconnecting the battery for 10 seconds and re-connecting cures the problem but one day?????? I assume there is a hiccup in the immobiliser CPU but do not even know where it is, or want to touch it. I always lock the car manually as my Landcruiser has had immobiliser problems when parked near the sensor for my automatic garage lights Has anybody else experienced similiar problems or have any ideas please? John.

Hello. I have a 2003 GS 430 that I will use extensively on the Continent. I can find nothing in the Owners Manual regarding adjustment of the headlamps for driving on the right. I have read that the beam pattern is such that no adjustment is necessary, sounds too easy!! Can anyone offer any advice please? John

I have now discovered that they are GS Mk. 2 Sport wheels. I suspect I have a problem!

Sorry, but am new to the forum and dodn't know how to add a photo yet. Luddite comes to mind! I hoped the part number would be enough description but I will try to describe the cap. It is 6 inches diameter, silver, dished in towards the centre of the wheel. At its perimeter it has 9 flutes interspaced with artificial black torx headed screws. Hope this helps!

I have recently bought a 2003 GS 430 which is a beautiful car but is short of 2 wheel centre caps part no. PZ405-S0671-01. I have searched e-bay and am beginning to realize that it may be a long and difficult task to find some at any price! I don't suppose anybody has a couple in a drawer that they would like to sell? Does anybody have any suggestions please?

This thread has confused me as I collected my new (2003) GS 430 on Monday and found the key fob battery was flat. Had new battery fitted, and in my ignorance, jumped in, turned the key and drove off? was I lucky?

Terry, Chris and Ben, thanks for the welcome! Further to my comments re LPG and towbars I think I have found a towbar and have decided to fit the Prins LPG system as I have used it for the last 6 years sucessfully. John

Hello all, I would like to introduce myself. I am now retired but have been involved with cars all my life and started competing on rallies in 1959 when I navigated for my Dad. I have obviously had many cars but more recently had a couple of A6 Quattros and a Landcruiser. Whilst I have nothing but praise for the Audis, and indeed have been looking for an S8, but the potential for expensive gearbox problems eventually led me to look elsewhere. BMW and Mercedes did not rock my boat although they are rear wheel drive which is one of my 'musts'. Only a week ago I realized the gap in my thinking and started to think Lexus. After a wasted trip to Birmingham to view an ill described GS 430 Sport I found a beautiful example in Manchester yesterday and bought it today. I feel like a dog with 2 dic.... tails. I plan to fit LPG and will also need a towbar which seem quite rare but obtainable. Anybody point me in the right direction please? Once again - Greetings.
