  1. Hi mate, welcome me to the forum. I don't post to often but I will soon be selling my white isf. It is easy to search its history as I own the famous Lexus isf police car. i have had it around a year and a half and baught it when I sold my Merc and opted for a company car. A very steady Volvo "please don't laugh" as a weekend fun car. But other them popong the the shops and having a quick drive i don't really use it. Don't get me wrong the car is superb, I had an m3 previously and say it would trump that. I think I posted around a year ago on here with some pics etc. thanks Gary
  2. Hi Peter. wow it is a small world, great to hear stories of people's connections and interests and how they came to own and know about isf's. It's really interesting hearing stories on the car I own, builds up a very unique history for the car. Which is fab. Not a bad job working on an isf all day. Bet he had a few envious mechanics in the force. it would be quite interesting to speak to the chap, I am sure he has a few stories to tel. Is he on the forum? You never know, if you can't be persuaded to sell yours he may one day persuade me to sell. (Not any time soon love the isf to much) what a story that would be. Thanks again peter gary
  3. Good spot dt. Thanks. Got a scrapbook full of interesting info and articles on the car.
  4. Ha ha, I'm afraid not, pretty much returned to its original condition. There is a false back in the boot, I presume that is to stop any one getting from the back in to the boot and away as the seats go down lol, it's been done really well you can't tel so I've left it. Will remove it eventually. And there is an extra interior light in the front which hasbeen left but that's it. Not left me anything exciting. 😛. No blue lights or turbo chargers to play with. You wouldn't notice it was a police car if you weren't told.
  5. Hi Linus, as far as I found there was only one. There are a few news articles about it, as in total with the police work the car cost them 81000. Which is a fair old chunk for a police car. Some people were not impressed with public money being spent on that. :) thanks for for the note on the wheels, I had read the articles previously but had never noticed mine were wrong. Will get them switched to the other side
  6. Hi guys, I would just like to introduce myself as the owner of the isf police car. I must own the most famous isf for my sins ;). I have owned the car since January and have been a member of the forum since then. You guys have been really helpful, sourcing missing exhaust tips and good advice. i thought long and hard before buying the car and was following it for sometime, I read all the chats on the forum, some good and bad but definitely well debated. I looked past the bad advertising, and went with it. The car is in good condition but just needs a bit of tlc that I am enjoying doing, missing exhaust tip sorted, bit of wear on the leather, ( booked in next week) cap on the bumper missing sorted. New brake pads all round sorted. Few bits of stone chips etc just to sort then she will be a shining pearl again. The car obviously has no lexus history as the police carry out work themselves. I was originally a little apprehensive but one of my friends worked on police cars and said they are cared for regardless of any expense or time, which is good to hear. It does have a service schedule of all works ever carried out, from tyres to services to any body / paintwork. So far so good i love this car and am fortunate enough to be able to run it as a weekend car, ( much more fun than the company volvo) the power delivery is so different the m3 I had previously, and does take some getting used to. But when that 2nd intake opens it smiles all round. The rareretey of this car is great also, I have only ever seen one in the flesh and that was about five years ago, and since then I have always hoped I would have chance to own one. Sorry for the life story, thought it might be of interest. i will ill attach a couple of pics if I can work out how to Thanks guys thanks guys
  7. Thank you for this, I have tried to order, but they won't ship outside the us. Asks for a minimum order value of 10k lol. Do you know if there is a similar uk site. Seems hard to find. cheers
  8. Thanks guys, very helpful. I will get that ordered more in the region of what Ithought i had looked on the jap sites but could find everything but the cap
  9. Hi guys Can anybody help please. i am somehow missing the cap from one of the washer jet covers in the bumper. Does anybody know where I could get one from please? I originally spoke to lexus and they quoted 325, as they would only supply it with the washer jet assembly. A splash steep for a plastic cover !!!!!! Thanks guys
  10. Dunkie could i I please take you up on the offer of your exhaust tips please. many thanks for your help
  11. Hi Warrington guy. any chance you can help. I am a relitively new isf owner, and am missing a bottom exhaust tip from each side. Any chance you have kept yours from the conversion?? Do like the sound of the exhaust systems you guys are having, but think I will stay stock for a little while, Thanks
  12. Hey guys, hope your isf's are all running fab. super sorry to be a pest. Any news on the postage costs for the exhaust tips please guys. Excited about getting the isf looking tip top. cheers guys
  13. I know, I thaught I would be the only one missing tips, but looking back through the forum it is very very common. Hope fully there is enough tips to go around. Sad times Pete, hope all is well now. Thank you for letting me know. Hopefully talk to you soon. 😀. Not sure if it was crossed wires pal, I wasn't asking for a picture, if you say you have some tips in good order then that's good enough for me.😀 I was just going to take some before and after pics of the back of the lexus to show how bad it looks wit the bottom two missing. 😁 and then after to show how beautiful it hopefully looks cheers
  14. Hi not chasing guys just checking I haven't missed you messages. Not sure if my private messages are working and don't want to miss the opportunity of the exhaust tips. The isf looks poorly from the back without them😭😭 thanks
  15. Thanks for the help on this guys, thanks dunkie that is very kind. I will put some before and after pics up. can I take you up on that please. Are you able to pm me the postage costs and we can sort. Car doesn't look the same with the tips missing. I have the two bottom tips missing, one from each side. In theory if I use dunkies whole set for one side so I don't have to split the tips of. And if peter would be able to do a deal for the other side that may be better than splitting tips of a complete set and trying to fix them to where I need them. Thanks guys
