They may do, but its getting them to that length. you could get a longer one and chop it down but apparently the leds have one resistor per three LEDs so your limited by that.

Personally i like the way they dont go all the way.

The eBay item is from a 2000 IS so compatible for me. The guy said all in working order but will not offer a buy it now price. If you still want to bid on this then can you give me a call and we can sort out arrangements. I have also managed to source a unit from Sweden as a stand by if the price on eBay gets too high for us....

Does anybody know of a Lexus breaker who may have a Sat Nav unit for a 2000 'X' IS200 SE??

My screen and remote still work, but the unit in the boot has given up the ghost. Lexus dealer has quoted me near on a grand to supply and fit a new one!!

I have checked on eBay for weeks now and have only seen one and unfortunately I was out bid.

I have been quoted £99 for a lexus remote key that includes open, close and boot. Is thier any other place apart from lexus that I can get this made cheaper or is it just lexus

I have seen a few topics on here about MGP of is200.

I have just driven from suffolk to glasgow on 3/4 of a tank.

I have done 380 miles and still have 1/4 of a tank left.

I am some what suprised at this as it seemed from the other topics on this subject that MPG was not on the good side with some people only getting 15 to 20 mile per gallon.

My speed for this journey was between 70 and 98 averaging 85 miles per hour, so i was not trying to conserve fuel.

Has anyone else done the same or was i just lucky ?

I think you were quite lucky with that! I tend to average around 25mpg on urban running and somewhere between 30 - 40mpg on motorways. How old is your lex?

Did adding the K&N filter add any extra power? or make the engine smoother?

Not as much as I thought it would. Still get the lovely kick back in the seat feeling at 4500rpm...smoother yes! I did replace the filter just after the 100000 mile service so the Lex is running as sweet as the day it came of the production line.

Yes, there is some solution you get from K&N .........

Just tell the dealer to exclude the air filter ......... that way they wont touch it, and wont charge you for it either !

I got some filter oil off eBay for about £1.75 + P&P......the bottle should last a couple of washes (about a year then!).

Sounds about right for the K&N filter. I got mine for about that price.

I wanted to change the air filter on my SE Navigator to a K&N but cannot find any info in the handbook on how to accomplish this task.

Is it fairly strightforward for a novice mechanic like me to do?
