  1. Hi, Suffering from the dreaded ERR3 at the moment and Lexus dealer won't budge on their decision not to replace/repair. So I'm forced to locate a replacement unit ... So Has anyone got a known working one for sale (must be bottom CD style unit) ... Let me know .. Cheers, Stu
  2. Hi, I've got some pics of both units but don't have any means of hosting/uploading them to this forum - unless I'm misssing something The OEM wiring I currently have on the BOTTOM CD version are 2 x blocks - Main one has 18 pins (only 13 used) and the Secondary has 14 pins (only 2 used). I have the wiring colours noted down too in a spreadsheet which I can post too if someonce can tell me how ? The new TOP CD appears to have 2 (or even 3 !) connector blocks .... the first has 12 pins, the second has 10 pins & a third ! has 6 pins ....
  3. Hi All, Been monitoring this site/forums for quite a while now & have now been lucky enough to finally get myself an IS200 Sport (99 T Reg) Black with Sat Nav & only 41K on the clock. Sadly though - the infamous & dreaded 'Err3' is showing on the CD changer/player - anyway the seller had already bought a replacement unit but had not fitted it. So yesterday I had a go following instructions on how to remove from this site (which were excellent by the way !). To cut a long story short - the old unit is a bottom CD type & the new one a TOP CD unit & guess what - as you guys have been saying in numerous posts the connector blocks on the back are completely different I've searched and searched the forums to see if there is some sort of conversion kit / wiring mod (I'm not afraid to get out the soldering iron !) that I can do to get this new unit fitted but have not seen any solutions posted. Is it definately not possible ? surely it's a case of changing the wires round ? Any assistance you can offer another newbie is much appreciated :D
