Posted topic last night "New owner nasty shock" about being asked to pay £577 for a service on my IS200 which I bought in June. Didn't realise who looks at this site, got a call to-day from the service manager at Teesside after that call and a further call later in the morning I am now pleased to say that the service will be done free of charge, well done Teesside Lexus. Hi everyone, This is my first time at posting anything so here goes. Bought an Is200 (2002 model ) in June from Teesside Lexus. Strathcaron Blue a great car can't fault the car only small niggle is petrol consumption. Image the shock when I got a letter in Sept to ring the service dept to be told my car needed a service and cost would be £577. On ringing the salesman that sold me the car the price of service was dropped to £250 but no real explanation as to why it didn't have a service before I picked it up. I have found an independant garage, the car is going there to-morrow, the cost £170. That includes pick-up and delivery to my home....
