Yes, the car is now out of warranty. I didn't renew it after the 3 year cover expired. ← Hello - not sure if you've booked your service but recently I had my IS200SE serviced at Nationwide Autocentres who follow the manufacturer guidelines. This was the major 80K service. I feel they did an OK job for £130. They can do both Major Service and MOT for £99 if you have a tesco clubcard. However they may charge extra for special oil. :)

Sorry "CrazyLex" - could you clarify this as I don't get it. I have contacted Lexus Bracknell and I discovered that they put in a reconditioned unit back in mid 03 which they would guarantee for 1 year. So its too long now. They mentioned that the ERR3 problem could be fixed for around £250 however they would have to give a formal estimate only after removing the unit first. Is this a good price? They further said that if I am not happy I oculd take it up with Lexus Customer Relations. Don't know whether I should. Incidently I am claiming that my unit brokedown after read end shunt accident and the insurance company paying for the body repair of my vehicle are not convinced that the CD player could break. Can anyone suggest or have any experience of these units being fragile or susceptible to such breaking under shock? I can see their point of view so might be forced to swallow this mishap.

Hello. My first post and a sad one to start with. I have a V reg IS200 SE. I had the 6 CD autochanger changed in mid 2003 after ERR 3 fault eventually led to complete failure of the CD changer. 4 weeks ago my car was involved in a rear end shunt when parked! and the next day the replaced CD unit failed with err 3. Given that it has been fitted by Lexus bracknell would this one still be warrantied given its just over 2 years?
