  1. hi all,

this is aimed at the people that have changed thier own cambelt - did u need to make a tool to hold the crankshaft pulley when loosening /tightening or even have to remove it for the belt change???

same goes for the radiator - it is a must to remove it - car isnt here so cant look at the moment.

HI if your car is manual just put the car in gear and have someone put there foot hard on the brake then undo the nut i got my bottom pulley of by tapping it with a soft face hammer dont try this with any other type hammer dont hit the pulley to hard as you will break it as it made of cast metal and will break easily or buy the correct puller and no the rad does not have to come out but you will have to take the cooling fans out the way hope this helps

    5. is a drive belt same as a timing belt

    hi there hope this helps

    1 5/40 fully synthetic

    2 toyota red anti freeze

3 epx 90 gl 5 this is a easy job make sure you take the filler plug out first before draining

4 you will need 6 plugs and they do sell them on eBay they come from america i have bought them

5 sometimes they call the timing belt a drive belt but it usuall refers to the alernator water pump a/c drive belts

if you have a Halfords near you have a look in there they have oil books in there

  3. got my is200 se last september,y reg was 28k miles on the clock when i got it from lexus southamton.. now i am having some problems with her

first.. the EFI fuse is clicking when i turn off the engine,it's drainning the battery,so every time i leave the car and drive the car,i need to take it off and put it on...:sick:

2nd..the right front brake has some annoying clicking noise when i brake in a certain level,it's very very loud, went to lexus and they said because the brake pad has movements so thats normall :tsktsk: !! how the hell could it be normall?!?! sounds like if there isn't any noise thats not normall!! i am now thinking to get a pair of new brake disks and pads to see if can fix the noise..

finally, had upgrade the speakers and sound deaden,so the car is a lot more heavier than it was,any choices i can loose some weights apart from carbon bonnet???

    thanks

    chris :crying:

hi my front brake pads make the same noise more so when braking in a corner if wheel bearings are ok wheel nuts are tight and pads are ok then you should be fine we have cars come in to the workshop with the same problem we fitted some lockheed pads to a car and noticed that the rubber anti squeal shim went round the end of the pad this would stop the noise

  4. :driving: Hi when i have had bmw's the exhaust always filled with water i just drilled a small hole in the rear box make sure its at the lowest point when the hole is dry just paint the hole with spray paint

We some times have cars in our workshop with holes drilled in the back box from new if you have a problem with the mot just fill the hole with some gum gum then take it out after
