  1. Cheers Paul, Do you know if there are any home kits that I can get to check the battery? Or do you think its just easier if i disconnect it and take it up to a garage? If the battery is totally dead I take it that the starter motor or key recognition thingy wont function either? Having to drive around in my company's Alfa at the moment...no comparison...give me my IS200 anyday! Mine has done several trips to the moon in terms of mileage but she still drives so well... Cheers for you help James
  2. Hello all, Having some problems getting my car started after a long period of inactivity (IS200 V-Reg). For various reasons I didnt drive the car for just over a month which resulted in a flat battery. When i turned the ignition key all i heard was a fast ticking noise. Next evening i use a friends car to try to jump start it, but this time when I turn the ignition key nothing at all happens. I dont know if this a new problem or whether its all down to the battery... Any suggestions/comments would be much appreciated. Cheers!
  3. Hello all, I have a couple of issues with my IS200SE (V-Reg) and you guys seem to be pretty clued up with most things! I've just changed my front pads, discs, and calipers, and have bled the system. With the engine off I notice that whenever I press the brake pedal I can hear 3 or 4 quiet beeps coming from the rear. I have never noticed this before, and don't know if its something i should be concerned about. I hadnt used the car in a month and had neglected to turn the engine over every once in a while which resulted in a flat battery. Yesterday I tried to start the engine but all i heard was a fast ticking noise. Guessed it was a flat battery so arranged for a friend to come over to jump start it this evening. Noticed that when I turned the key there was nothing at all. Would it make any difference which key I was trying to use? When i was using the master key it was ticking over, but tonight when I used the spares there was nothing (I forgot my master key at work tonight!) Dont know if these 2 are related in anyway... Any thoughts? Cheers!
