Thanks guys, i like the idea of owning the car at the end, just found out that provecta charge 1500 acceptance fee, robbing b*******
Does Lexus finance allow HP on ex demo cars, so get the car cheaper, pay a monthly fee and then a balloon payment at the end?

Awesome looking car! :P

Hi All,
Had a IS200 as a company car a few years back and really liked it, company would not let me have another so had a 3series instead :(
Now its coming up to renewal time again I really like the IS250 Sport and am thinking about the best way to purchase/contract hire. The options I have are
1. Lexus Finance
2. Provecta Car Scheme
3. Lex Hire
What thoughts do other members have and how did you go about getting your Lex, are there any other ways.
TIA

I like Clarkson, and he is great at reviewing cars, especially giving the IS250 a good review, however, when you are used to driving Ferraris’, Mercedes SL55, Aston Martin DB9, Ford GT etc isn’t everything else just downhill from there?

HI
I took delivery of a company car today IS220 sel with MM .... NO rattles Drives great Got 44.4 mpg from Nottingham to London with AC on ..so am impressed
Thanks to Steve Batchelor of Notts for getting the car so quicky Good dealership .
It seems as though Lexus have picked up on the early concerns and have sorted things!
I can confirm that the RAZR vx3 does not connect and needs to be reset each time so now the hunt is on for a phone that works HAs Lexus put out a list like BMW has . If not a thead on this may be useful

Hi Mate,
Did your company use a lease company? If so, if you dont mind me asking, how much is it a month for your spec?

Hi All,
I am looking for a Battery operated alarm I can put in my garage that would sound if someone attempted to enter the garage without disarming the alarm first, hopefully by wireless key fob. Anyone come across a device like this?
Just want a bit of extra security for my Lex
TIA

I am no expect but I think the age would point to a new clutch, usually normal standard driving conditions would warrant a new clutch every 70-80k miles

Most likely nothing, however, should you get stopped in France they will have the unpaid fine on record. You'll get asked to pay it on the spot.
how could they prove it was you who owned the car then ?
Good point, I have no idea! :duh: Just know of a friend who was caught out.

I have black also, even with the soft paint I wouldnt swap it for any other colour! Although is a right pain in this hot weather :(
-
How old is your car?
Could be a number of things.
-
As long as you have a licence you are never too young to drive an IS200 :)
I was 24 when I first got mine, I had a Diesel Astra before, massive difference! :)

Mine were replaced under warranty when the car was 18months old, they were pitted really badly and had also been kerbed a few times! :D

I know this does not help but even with the factory fitted sensors you still get two beeps.

I thought the ford stand was really tacky. Did you see the poor Thunderbirds show?
The Caterhams were the best - outside taking people for rides :)
Yeah, it was quite good, especially because it was free. We also paid to watch the main show, sponsored by renault and shell, that was pretty poor and was just one big advert

Huge tractor size wheels! Very wide as well!!

Hi all,
Spent today at the motorshow and managed to take a few pics of an 2004 Is200 and the new Lexus concept car. Pictures below:-
Black is the best colour :D
Pictures are quite big in size, broadband connection recommend B)
Hats off to Ford, certainly had the best stand! No BMW or Alfa Romeo
Cheers

You should have three, although one will be to open the doors only and not the boot.

Hi All,
I have had my lease Lexus Is200 SE for three years now and it is about to expire, will have about 60k on the clock and the car is in v good condition, apart from the alloys being a bit scuffed The lease company have offered me the car for £10k I am seriously thinking about buying it, have just had two new tyres and back brake pads. What do people think? How much will it be worth in 1yr, 2yr 3yrs time?
Thanks for any replys.
