Are you sure the fronts are originals? as the fronts normally wear quicker than the rears, yet your front pads have more left on them than your rear pads.
-
Had to do one of mine recently, was so seized it had to be clamped and drilled out. Got the slide pins free from a scrap yard off another IS.
-
is that in Km's or miles?
-
I like the blueprint pads, as basically zero dust.
-
u sure u aint got a seized caliper mate?
I had the same thing, one pad was worn badly, the others at the front looked on. Wasnt a seized pot but one of the slides the caliper is bolted on by.

If you got a manual IS, such as me Snow Mode is good in traffic as gives you smoother pull aways. Where I use it mainly.
-
Looking good, had mine 5 years aswell now. You have my favourite IS wheels :)
-
Lexus revised the interval for the cambelt change down to 60k, so defo worth having a look at that if yours not been done for almost 100k

Nice to know they can run upto 250k plus mine is on 148k and runs as good as ever. Look to take her upto 300k hopefully

6 years here, and mine is a 99 V plate. Taken it from 60k to 150k no problems apart from error 3 on stero. Has been spot on really, get on average 30k per set of tyres, never had geometry done. Nothing else out there really I would replace it with at the moment.

looking good

Just wondered if the pads used in the front of the IS200 were a toyota stocked part? as I have a toyota dealer down the road but lexus is 25 miles away.
If so anyone know the part number? need to get some pads tomorrow as mine are a little low!
thanks guy

Congrats, I am in the same boat as you looking at the GS300 for about that price. I have had my IS 4.5 years now, any pics of your new ride?
-
I have done it about 8 times now, take the passenger side wheel off and put on axle stand, then use long reach oil filter grippers from under car. Never had a problem.
-
If its manual IS, I normally find 4 litres is spot on with filter change.

Cheers for the tips guys, they still wont shift, will have to see what I have go.
Sorry yea did wet sand one lens, before polishing has made a big difference.
-
They have been soaking in some WD overnight, also got the lenses off after baked in the over. have wetsanded one and polised with Menz Intensive Polish, have come up like new from 144k miles worth of abuse. Will post pics shortly.

You will need a proper penetrating oil as WD40 only displaces water to leave the area dry, its amazing how so many people use it as a penetrating oil and think it actually works.
Any recommendations?
