Have had a clean licence for 20years now but the last 3years Ive managed to amass 6 points along with the fixed cash penalties. Both occurrences were in 30mph limits and both by mobile cameras. Although classed as safety camera sites Ive since found out from the net that the total number of accidents on both stretches of road are what I would consider negligble. I believe these sites to be more cash generators for the regional constabularies. Anyway, Ive decided I need a camera detector but having done many hours research on the net Im still confused. Any recommendations would be gratefully accepted. Icarus

Just a few words by way of introduction. Having been the proud owner of an IS200 for nearly 5 years, I took the plunge and ordered an IS250 SE auto last month. Your reviews and Koshimes excellent diary kept me going through the long delivery period until I became the proud owner just before Christmas. Although its still early days ( no in-dash rattles yet) I have to say the car more than lives up to my expectations - looks, performance, feel, smell, sound - all fantastic. This is the first automatic I've owned and I agree with the reviews- the box is silky and you seem to get the best of both worlds. Looking forward to becoming an active member - keep up the good work lads. Icarus
