  2. Sorry to hear about all of this mate, scum bags. Glad that you are on the mend.

Not sure about pepper spray being a firearm but it is illegal to have it let alone use it. At the very least it would be an offensive weapon. Hope the police get the little *******.

it is essentially a chemical weapon and depending on the seriousness of the attack can carry a 10 year prison sentence according to this article.

  3. omg ellz you poor guy-what a bunch of *******,cannot believe the way things are going.Unfortunately fella the soap water method is highly recommended directly after the incident-same with burns.from what youve described you may need to seek med advice, because it sounds as if youve sustained proper burns to your face as its effect is normally no longer than a few hours max.Im sorry to say A+E should really have been your first port of call-they could have calmed it down considerably by using burn treatments and sent you away happy. Its a major inflammatory agent and its prbably not helped you using water without soap-try and make an appointment with your GP if the pain persists and he can prescribe something.mineral oil is often used in CS and pepper spray attacks.

  5. Yup, SS hoses were done last year mate. This is a halfway house, as BBK is also big bucks!

Actually, I am planning to go to the RIng this Friday with the Lexus. Car is driving on rails after suspension was upgraded this summer.

Just waiting to hear if the track re-opens. It's closed until Xmas Eve due to Ice on the track as it's pretty cold in that region. However, forecast for Friday is warmer, 7 degrees!

I was gonna see if anyone fancied a winter weekend on the Ring, it's open all day Sat and Sun!!!

silly me,ofcourse,i read the hoses in your sig a while back-completely forgot.

You nutter!!!!!!good on you tho-unfortunately my M3 is still being upgraded, the Supercharger is on,however im still waiting on intrax and Aps to be fitted and this will be complete by early next year-so im out im afraid, plus my M3 doesnt like the cold.Could bring the IS-but i sold the charger to a gent on here and the car feels too weak to take on the ring AFAIK.I know you are loving the suspension and thats probably the best mod of all.I drove an AMG Merc CLS the other day which had BB kit and Ohlins suspension-it was out of this world,i couldnt believe how safe i felt at the speeds we were doing in the twisty stuff and totally agree its a worthy mod.

Any other mods planned or are you stopping here-turbo?go on maneesh, you know you wanna!!

  6. I'd put up with brake judder and steering wheel wobbles for some time, never been that impressed with GS braking performance either.

Decided to try 3G grooved discs with Endless SSS Ceramic pads. Not something I have heard of on a GS before, but I thought I would try it out.

Immediately brake judder and wheel wobble disappeared with the new discs, but once bedded in, I'm VERY impressed with the braking performance. I also upgraded to ATE Super Blue Racing brake fluid (DOT 4) at the same time.

Since the pads are ceramic, brake dust is supposed to be minimal. Looking forward to that with chromes!

This particular pad is supposed to be good for fast road driving along with the occasional visit to the Ring.

Big thanks to Gaz@Envy Performance, Kevin@3G and Chris@Centre of Gravity for going out of their way to help me get my brakes sorted before Xmas! :shifty:

nice one Maneesh,i love brake upgrades, always inspire confidence when done properly(did you do hoses too?),did you also consider the BB kit ?-like the one Dave has on the Aristo, they were mighty impressive at the ring too. Will be good to see you at the ring in March again, wouldnt be the same trip without you.

  7. My car has to pass MOT in March. It could not pass even with just a standard supercharger, CO emissions were to high. Fortunately in France there are other means to get it :P

    here is my OBD-II report

Firstly Cho,id like to say im absolutely devastated for you bud and that it is 100% genuine.I cant help but feel that you are a complete innocent party in all this, being a paying customer-just as I and many others are.Its the worst time of year to be experiencing difficulty with our beloved motors and its even worst for you as you have lost total usage of your pride and joy,its obvious you are an enthusiast that loves his car.I really do hope this situation is resolved amicably as it was when my car had issues with the same company-I must say they acted very fairly and did resolve it to my satisfaction and the clubs satisfaction.I would like to believe that a full vehicle report could pinpoint the issue and the cause of your problems-however after speaking to an engineer that is building an engine for me at the moment-without certain technical info,it may prove to be impossible to find the offending article or cause.I appreciate that you may feel really depressed at the moment and all i can say is chin up mate, just as many of my friends and well wishers on LOC did when i was having my problems, and hope you understand that this is absolutely genuine, because you remind me of myself a while back,as we are all just regular 9-5 guys that love our cars.( i had little knowledge then and im afraid to admit very little now-but because of this forum I was lucky enough to be guided and helped very well-which i feel helped resolve the issue)

I was going to send you a PM but as I dont know you and havent had the pleasure of meeting you at any point I decided its best to just write it in your thread-hope you dont mind.I appreciate all cars are different and its all he said, she said, this however was the situation I was in and I thought you may like to know about it-considering your car has all the same parts fitted as mine did.

My car was fitted with the TTE sc ,it passed MOT no probs and as usual it never missed a beat,as soon as I had the hks v-pro,injectors,camcon,mapping etc fitted by tdi-my car was over fuelling and when i ran out of fuel on the A50-the RAC blokey put in his diag machine and i had a list of faults,O2 sensor and cats. The car wasnt running correctly and the car wanted to cut out all the time, infact it did a few times. When it was taken to charlesworth,Steve who does MOTs all day long-clearly told me it would NEVER pass under these circumstances. The car was diagnosed as being mapped poorly by three seperate garages(the parts were the best a car could get-but the mapping was out,Lexus also diagnosed poor mapping.I had trc flashing and a permanent engine MGT light on.It was a very scary experience as the car never felt right and after having multiple experts tell me there was something majorly wrong-it does start to make one think if all is well. After multiple trips to TDi i decided to end the project and take all the stuff off and return it to them-in my case the refund was swift and I have to say thanks again to all parties involved.I appreciate you are in slightly deeper than i was,in that your car has suffered from a complete failure-but i do want you to understand that you are supported by the members on here and many will be happy to help ,not just in advice but in any way they can-i know this as i have many friends within LOC that have travelled many miles to help me,taking time out of their schedule and really being 100% helpful. If there is anything I can do to help at this stage then dont be afraid to ask-my tech knowledge is not great but I can help in many other ways.Like i said earlier chin up-my confidence was shattered when i had my issues and can completely understand your mood at this point-try not to be put off for life tho,as its a great hobbie and past time and I think one day your car will be exactly where you want it to be,in the 250hp range.Best of luck pal.

  8. Whilst cruising down the motorway I have had a rod snap and now have a slightly larger than a golf ball size hole in my engine.

Sorry to hear that, that is one of the reason why I am hesitating to go for the stage 1 pulley.

I did have problems with the idling and engine management light was permenantly on shortly after collecting the car. Also the trac contol light was flashing on and off. I informed TDI of this but I was told there was nothing to worry about.
I had the stage 1 pulley, katana manifold, katana intercooler, larger injectors, FCon V-pro, Camcon, closed loop feedback system, LCP

Mine does it aswell, the idle should be solved by the closed loop feedback system. The engine light is because of the catalyst removal. The flashing TRC appears when you get near the rev limiter. There is no risk involved in it as far as I know, my car has done about 15k miles since all fitted and it is still running

I'm not sure what boost it was running but it should have been about .5 bar

I am running 0.45 with the standard pulley. When the stage 1 was first fitted, it produced 0.65 with the Katana intercooler

And yes, Lee's produces nearly as much power as ours with an almost standard TTE supercharger

so am i to believe that a flashing TRC and engine mgt light on-is regarded as ok?thats ridiculous and i dont buy it,can you tell me why when you stick a diagnostic machine in the car-it comes up with a list of faults?

  9. My car's not quite as old as yours being an '02' but it's still generally the oldest car about whenever mine goes in for a service, and I can't say I've ever been treated any differently to anyone else.

In many ways they'd want to try harder to retain the customers with older cars than newer ones as on average, income from them should be higher with more parts needing replacing, and also it's easier to coax them into a new car than someone who's just bought a new one!

I've always had impeccable service, and I didn't even buy the car from that dealership in the first place........so if you're not happy, and you have another dealership nearby, just switch over to them.......

I completely agree Parthiban. All 4 of our Lexii are old shapes and on average arent worth more than £10k each, however we still get treated very well by all our dealers and still get invites to get services done at various dealers, specially stating they would like to service our old IS and RX cars, infact weve had specific flyers sent with pics of IS200s-so they do value the business.Youre right they can maximise profit on customers that use old cars-cos there is technically more screwed items on them.I think it may be individual service depts also that dont give the customers the feeling of being concerned about them-try a bmw dealer-you could buy a brand new £60k car and they still treat you like crap.Lexus are a quality company so dont let certain dealers attitudes upset you because there is always going to be a dealer out there that really values your custom.

  10. i love it! drive past one everyday on my way to work, its driven by a milf that does the school run in the morning, haha. what a wasteful way to use it!

now thats my ideal woman.I actually get a hard on from thinkin about fitties in sexy motors, especially in an Rs4.

yes agree with Aness, they are amazing sounding from the factory. But then the aftermarket exhausts are a alittle too much as you can listen here.
