  1. did this noise turn out to be the diff then? Mine makes the same sort of noise...I was pretty sure it was coming from the right front wheel, was thinking wheel bearing myself.
  2. I popped out to Halfords first thing this morning and purchased a 1/4" drive 14mm socket. I was able to get this on the nut and (just) get a rachet on the back of it, still needed a 2 foot bar on the racket to budge the nut though. It has tigher than a really tight thing ! But all sorted now, and changed the belt so hopefully no more annoting sqeaks ! Thanks again for the help :) drewy
  3. Thanks for the very complete reply...I guessed that perhaps the pulley has to undo, and I've fouled up the nut :( I'll have to have another go....the nut not a lefthand thread or anything stupid is it?
  4. Hi, I'm trying to replace the belt that drives the air con pump, but am having trouble with the tensioner......anyone know how you release tension on the thing ??? cheers
  5. I took mine to Lexus Worcester on Friday for it's end of warranty check...Everything good (or so they told me!). Bit dissappionted that they would not change the rims, when I spoke to them on the phone I'd mentioned the corriosion and they had said yes, no problem "how many" do I need replaced.... Then when I turn up to get the wheels changed, they change their minds and say the corroision has been caused by kerbing......Yes the rims have all been klobbered a touch (not by me!), but I personally thing that had the laquer coat on the wheels not been defective then they would of weathered the kerbing a lot better....any thoughts ?
