  1. thanks - where do you find the settings in the car. i know i set the schedule in the car one, but cant seem to find it now.
  2. Actually i use the granny charger for over night charging - so there is no way Octopus Go can touch this. Its connected to a 3 pin plug. The 7kW faster charger is for my Telsa. I will try re-scheduling the charging to see if this changes anything.

  4. I have an NX450h which has been set to start charging at 11:30pm as i have an Octopus GO tariff. This has worked flawlessly for the past 3 months of ownership. All of a sudden over the past two days the vehicle will not start charging at 11:30pm. I checked the Lexus App and can see that the car is set to charge at 11:30pm every single night. But i do remember seeing a setting in the car also for scheduled charging which i can not find any more. I do dislike the GUI of the onboard software - its so very difficult to use and find things compared to my Tesla. Is there any reason this would stop = the charger is working fine because if i hit the Charge Now button in the Lexus App, charging starts at any time i request for it.
  5. Hi i have a 2007 RX400H. I put in DisneyLand Paris from London which according to Google and Multimap is just 350 Miles, but the RX400 shows 650 Miles. I believe the RX400H maps for France are in Kilo Meters (KM) and hence is adding the KM from Calais to Paris to the Miles from London to Paris. But the time is also being shown at 11 hours driving which again according to Google should be no more than 5 hours. Can anybody check on your RX400H mapping from London to Disneyland Paris (this is a POI under Paris on the RX400H). Thanks, Rishi
  6. I can replicate this between 40MPH and 50MPH on A/B roads especially where there is a turn in the road. It will accelerate by itsself. I was hoping others could try too. Well the car has gone in for the check up today. Lets see what they say after they replicate the issue. However if anybody else out there could try it (if its safe to do so) just to make sure that we dont have a big problem on our hands as RX400h owners. For me it happens between 40 and 50MPH in cruise and especially when the car turns more than 30Deg while still in cruise and damn the sudden acceleration starts. Update: Dealer's Service Manager cannot see any issues. I am frankly very surprised as i know the issue is there. Will keep on monitoring and logging it. Anybody else who uses Cruise in A/B roads see anything i have described. Seems that other CVT Toyota engines in the US do this a lot too during Cruise, however for now Toyota in the US is describing this as within tolerances.

  8. No it is actually accelerating...so if i am on 50MPH it will go upto about 57MPH before i physically brake (too afraid to let it go futher). Another thing i can also replicate is on cruise control if i turn the car by more than a 30Deg bend or so the car will again start to accelerate. Can anybody try these tests and confirm if they see it on their RX400h while in cruise.
  9. Sorry should have reported back, yes it was the Lock Nut which had come loose...
  10. I have an 07 RX400h SE-L. When i drive it in cruise control at 70MPH on the motor ways no problems and it behaves. Last weekend i got a chance to drive it at 50MPH in cruise control on some A roads and this was probably the first time i did this at this speed. However every now and than the car would suddely accelerate for no apparent reason although it was set to 50 and i will touch the cruise control leavers. Now if there was a hill, i would appreciate the car would need some more power to keep the 50MPH speed constant, but this was on a flat road. There is a US Lexus Official Service Bulletin for this (EG013-07), but my dealer has confirmed that this does not apply in the UK. As this is first time it has happened i will try and replicate it again this weekend on some empty roads before taking it to the dealer so that i can be sure i can replicate the issue with him in the car. Has anybody seen this on a 07 RX 400h? Many thanks, Rishi
  11. I have a 2007 RX400H. FUnny problem, the passenger side wiper will not operate at all. It is free to move but will not move. The driver side one works just fine. Does anybody know if there is a seperate fuse for each wiper or any other clues? Rishi
  12. Many thanks for this. Lexus dealership want £25 for the plastic leaver (Knob, Power Seat Switch) and will not even post it out... i have to go and collect it. The website you mention clearly shows the part and the price, but i cannot seem to order it.
  13. I have an IS 200 SE. On the driver's side the switch that controls the seat movments has the black lever on it that is used to make the switch toggel forwards, backwards, up and down, etc. This black lever kept falling off every now and then and i would generally pick ip up from either the street or from within the car and push it back and i would not have na issue for months. This time it obviously fell off and i have not noticed it at all. Hence i have now lost it. Does anybody know exactly what the part is called with the aprt number and where i can buy it from please? Thanks, Rishi
  14. thanks a lot for this. I tried this, however is my case i could not pull out the cable at all. Hence i take it that it is a very short cable that i have to work with? I'll try it again this afternoon and see how i get on.
  15. I have a 2001 Lexus IS200 SE and have two problems with the head lights as follows: 1) The warning buzzer that notifies when the lights are still on does not sound every now and then. This happened 3 times today yet again this morning when i first took out the car at 6am. However now the buzzer works. However i can gaurantee you that this will happen all over again tomorrow morning. 2) When the head lights are set to automatically switch on and off, the lights will switch on if it is dark. However once the car is switched off and the driver's door opened the lights are supposed to switch of automatically. This does not happen every now and then and happened this morning also 3 times this morning. However the lights are switching on and off automatically right now. It seems that the buzzer and the automatic light sensor problem are linked together and seems to occur definately the first time the car is taken out and seems to disappear after the lights have been manually switched on and off a couple of times. I have only been able to reproduce this problem first thing in the morning or after not having drven the car for atleast 8 to 10 hours. Hence if the buzzer and light sensors work and you keep on trying to reproduce the problem you will not be able to detect it. The problem obviosuly happens after the car has not been driven for a while. Has anybody else experienced this problem at all?
