  1. LOL, didnt even know the SE-L had that, know my car well dont I?
  2. Well, so far I'm v impressed! Soo comfortable, cant get over the seats with their million+1 adustments Love the looks (as do my family and mates - to the extent my mum and step father wanted photos of me and the mrs with it - plus admiring glances from strangers (but obviously with the women thats me and not the car B) Speed - as expected - no speedmeister but no slouch either, just ok Toys - LOVE IT! - rear blind goes up/rear blind goes down/rear blind goes up/rear blind goes down/rear blind goes up/rear blind goes down/rear blind goes up/rear blind goes down/rear blind goes up/rear blind goes down/rear blind goes up/rear blind goes down/rear blind goes up/rear blind goes down/rear blind goes up/rear blind goes down/rear blind goes up/rear blind goes down/etc! :D Niggles: Rattle from passenger seat when not occupied 6th gear sucks - wont sit in it at 70 when it should General gear ratios are v close so have already shifted to 1st when going for 3rd Handbrake only comes on at the last click (is this common??) Will take it to the dealer in a week or so just in case any more niggles come up Looking forward to a year (1 year lease - though may extend at this rate!) of very nice driving! Keep up the good work on this forum folks, I've found it very informative thus far :D
  3. Well, my new baby has arrived, though not quite as expected : Ordered either Slate grey or Black from the lease co., they brought me silver with silver leather! (To add insult rto injury they also had a Black one they brought along by mistake, but my insurance was for the reg on the silver) Though to be honest I couldnt be rsed to argue and quite happy with it, v cool looking car, loads of admirers in the co. car park. Get to try her out properly on the way back to the West Country this afternoon! I expect to arrive home feeling far more comfortable than I did with the SAAB
  4. My lovely Cordoxton Slate IS220D SE-L is due this morning! The wait has been a killer, still clinging on to the hope the lease co will throw in MM! B)
  5. Lease co. screwed up the delivery (they tried to deliver to my home address instead of work - I work away in Reading M-F) so now have to wait until tmw (Fri) 10am to get hold of my new baby The wait is killing me
  6. LOL! Back in 2002 I was driving an E36 M3, so I'm used to the many pleasures (and scares) that RWD brings along I remember having a play on a R-O-B once and giving it just that little bit too much accelerator - I regainedd just in time but the face of the guy coming towards me was a picture!
  7. You won't regret it. I was a proud owner of a trouble free IS200 for 80k miles, then went to SAAB. Had a 9-3 diseasel, utterly dreadful - everything broke in the first three weeks, had the hire car hassle also (Gold Skoda Fabia Estate anyone??). then got a 2.0t petrol replacement from SAAB, just as bad and pretty much replaced every part in three years. No I am back in the safe grasp of a Lexus again and I look forward to getting in it everyday - still making excuses to drive it after a month and still marvel at the amount of people who stare/check it out/ask about it wherever I go. I love it :D Bring on that warm glowing feeling!
  8. Cheers! My lovely Cordoxton Slate baby should be here in T Minus 23 hours, now hoping against hope the lease co have bunged in the MM as a bonus (can but hope, eh?)
  9. I honestly would not of believed this had it not of happened to me............ I am due to take delivery of my IS220D SE-L tomorrow, currently drive (drove) a SAAB 9-3 Tid 54' plate On the way to work yesterday the engine gave way BIG time (15,000 miles, FSH - luckily leased!) Took me from 0630 stood on the hard shoulder Eastbound by Membury to 1145 to get to work in Reading. During which I was sworn at by the breakdown guy (contracting for the AA via SAAB assist) when telling him I didnt accept going to his garage and wanted to go to SAAB Reading, no SAAB car given as courtesy car - had to have a Chevy (Daewoo) estate(!!!) from Enterprise also had to pay £100 deposit to enterprise (I think SAAB should have covered this as they wouldnt give me a SAAB). I am a contractor, so every hour I was out of work cost me a tidy sum, NOT impressed. I pray that IF I do have to call on Lexus assist I dont have to through the same :tsktsk: Utterly disgusted.
  10. Cheers for all the good wishes, the same to you all!
  11. Hi all, thought i'd introduce myself I'm due to take delivery of an IS220D SE-L in (approx!) 2 weeks, don't as yet know the colour as I don't get outright choice (lease deal) but had to give 3 choices which were (in order of pref): Cordoxton Slate Astral Black Argento Ice All the above to be with Pembroke black leather and alloy finish Not being able to choose the exact colour was a bit of a pain, but the deal (£389+VAT a month for 12 months at 3+11 payments) was a cracker, so what the hey! :D I live in the South West near Bristol but work away in the Reading area during the week.
