  1. Got a quote from www.Tokyo-Express.co.uk The Tanabe Sustec 5 coil over kit is 835.00 inc vat, the TEAS controller is 445.00 inc vat. compatible with IS250. Anyone know a good installer? Maybe WIM?
  2. Hi guys, Anyone know where can I buy and fit a Tanabe Electric Active Suspension system? I find the stock suspension just nice for highway cruising but during country/town driving, the impact from holes and bumps give me uncomfortable jolts. I've got 17" stock rims which I downgraded from 18" just because of this problem. It did help in terms of normal ride comfort but those bumps still jar me a bit. I do like the handling of the car as it's very precise around the corners. So I don't want to lose that capability by changing to softer springs or downgrading to 16" rims. I just want to find a way to lessen the shocks and stop my teeth being rattled out - especially when driving over metal grating and the like. Or would it help if I went for better shocks?
  3. Thanks for all your comments guys. It's really been helpful. After having checked out the Detailing and Care section, I'm gonna try n contact Toughseal to see what they can do. I'm not just looking for showroom shine, more like protecting the paint for another 3+ years. Will provide an update when I finally get something done! Cheers ...
  4. Good one Roger. I think I've heard of Autoglym before. Wonder if there's a valeter near me using these products. I did find a company called 'evaletuk' - http://www.evaletuk.com/ Anyone used them before? They've got this Pinnacle Paint Care System finished with Carnauba Wax. Haven't called them for a price yet.
  5. Helooo all, It's been a good 3+ years I've been having with my silver IS250 SE-L Auto. Thinking of getting the paint treated again so that it continues to shine brilliantly (when clean!). I must admit, I paid a hefty price for Supagard when I first got the car. Does anyone know what they actually do to the paint? Had a 3 year warranty with it but not sure what it covered. I'm looking to do something similar but am unsure of what's available out there. TBH, haven't washed my own car in years! Always had an excuse to go back to the dealers and get cleaned up for free. I would prefer to get a professional to detail the car and give the paintwork some TLC. Any suggestions?
  6. I did the same, and provided a copy of the TSIB to my dealership Service Manager. As it was the first time he'd seen it he contacted Lexus GB, but got the same answer as you, plus some BS about it being a different part number in the States and/or the pads being made by a different manufacturer (smoke and mirrors). In the States the initial TSIB for excessive brake dust was for the IS350, but the IS250 was added to it a a later date...it's a response to the number of complaints, and in the UK/Europe we don't have sufficient numbers. It really pi$$es me off that Lexus do not apply a TSIB globally as a matter of course, even more so considering how much we pay for the cars in comparison to out American cousins. :tsktsk: As a matter of interest I bought the OEM ceramic pads issued under the TSIB in the States, should be fitting them in the next couple of weeks. Hey Tango, Could you please let me know how much you got them for? Was it delivered to the UK? Also, you gonna fit them yourself?
  7. Hey Guys, Anyone managed to get your brake pads replaced with low-brake-dust ones? I think someone posted about a TSB but I've checked with Lexus Bracknell and they said it only applies to the US. They said they do not stock any other brake pads. Well, feeling disappointed, I searched online and found these:- https://www.brakeworld.com/catalog.asp?page...front&desc= When I told Lexus Bracknell about these, their initial response was that they won't install it for me. The service guy (who's been very helpful) will check with his manager and get back to me next week. In the event the answer is still no, can anyone recommend someone who might? I'm also looking to get my alignment/geometry checked out. Cheers.
