Yes I did the mix is 50% fluid 50% water It was just screen wash from the local Bp Garage if that's what you mean?

you have some form of bacteria in the tank - use a citron based all purpose cleaner, make a very strong mix or even add it neat to an empty washer tank ( it wont harm the paint) operate the sytem until it is coming thru the windscreen and headlight washer then leave it over night. then rinse thru with normal water.

Or get hold of some milton sterizing fluid and mix with plain water

Hope you can help this is just disgusting!! When I use the windscreen wash the smell that comes through the air vents is disgusting it stinks!! Of Eggs or something REAL BAD! I have tried using all the water up and then re filling and I have 50/50 mix with water and screen wash!????? How do I get rid of the smell?? I have to open the windows to us the screen wash because the smell IS so bad BUT THEN THE WATER DRIPS IN THROUGH THE OPEN WINDOW!

Phew....... Nice to out of the car at the moment#

I have the same problem and dont want to force anything it's the bulb for the light next to the sunroof how do you get the cover off??

That helps a lot thanks for that as for my abilitys on the tools are not great but willing to learn.....

A list of recomendations would be great. As you suggested I will probably ask a mechanic to do these for me in stages so if you could list them in the order you think they should be done maybe a ruff guide to what you think it will cost that would be very helpfull.

My IS was due the 40000 service it has now done 47000 the problem is I just can not afford the service. So my question to members is this what if anything can i do MYSELF or should i get a garage to as bare minimum i dont want to damage the car as it has no problems.

What do you recomend should be done AS A PRIORITY and what are the risks of not doing them?

but seriously, let the car pull itself along in 1st gear with all the windows down (and stereo off) and listen...... you will hear an intermittent scratching type noise

Ok I just bought some car mats as there was noone in my Lex when i bought it. The drivers side mat has two little holes in it and there are two little holes on the carpet to secure it but...........There are no fixings there soooooooooo where can i get them?

This also happens to me now and then! So not as rare as you think normally mine starts second attempt ive had the is for about a year and this has happend maybe half a dozen times. Would be good if someone solved there problem and posted the cure :winky:

TOUCH WOOD mine hasnt gone off since that day I just dont know what caused it im just glad it stopped as it was a real nightmare!! I can relate to your problem..... thankfully there are loads of guys on here who can help this has got to be the most helpfull and freindly site ive ever been on!

it was the rear bumper... but i havent opened it and had the car parked outside work all afternoon? it only started playing up when i got home and locked it.... but saying that (touch wood) it has not gone off sinse i opened and shut the boot that was about three hours ago...

checked all the doors and the boot after i opened and closed the boot it stopped.......... Curious as to what the hell happened as I have not been in the boot since I picked it up?? Do you think they could have done something when they fitted the new Bumper?
