  1. Thanks - found the fuse that is labelled 'gauges' and thought I have found the fault because it had no volts on either end of the fuse socket. However, it turns out that this fuse is in the 0V line, not the 12V line. Never seen that before. I can still get the clocks to register briefly, but only under heavy braking. Thanks again John
  2. All the needles on my dashboard instruments have dropped to zero and the green front fog warning light is permanently on. Any ideas? The fault has been intermitent for a couple of months, becoming more frequent and longer lasting. Now it is solid. Looks like a loose connection - but which one? I have unplugged the instrument panel in case the microprocessor that drives the dials is on the PCB and needed resetting but no effect. I thought it might possibly be the supply to the instrument microprocessor and set about looking for the fuse panel. However, apart from a handful of fuses in a small box under the bonnet, I can't find any. Surely, there must be 50 or more hiding somewhere. Thank goodness its not a hybrid. Think of the electrical problems you could have with one of those!
