  1. what? :duh: so does that mean if you buy a car you have to pay a tax which is almost 2 more cars? :o if yes then this is insane... you should move out of denmark
  2. Hi! This is my first post so hi everybody! Im not native english speaker though so i apologize for spelling mistakes, and typos :) I decided to purchase an IS200 (2000-2002) and wanted to ask you guys some questions. First, what mileage should i aim for? is 75 000 miles way too much? I know lexus is very reliable car but still... Ideally i would want the mileage to be under 60 0000 but its quite hard to find 5-6 years old car with relatively low mileage. Alternatively i could buy newer but more mainstream car like Citroen, Seat, Ford, but somehow i like lexus for its reliablility/quality reputatuion and to tell the truth its one of my old dreams to own an IS200 :) And now that new IS models are out and prices on old IS are dropping i could afford myself one :) So is there some high mileage IS owner who can give some advice? Another thing is service history. I wouldnt want to buy a used car without service book with full service history. The way i see it: its really not hard to include service history with the car unless there is something to hide, right? The problem is that a lot of used cars sold around here dont have that, i dont know why. What is your suggestion on that? Is a car without service history probably some "trick"? i mean some cheap car that has been imported and "cosmeticly repaired" for reselling with profit... Also any general suggestions are welcomme... EDIT! and what do you think of this car (no service book though, ant 77 000 miles on the clock) best regards. R
