hi yes the engine revs erracticly as the needle bounces

i have a ls400 1992 and the revs idle spot on at 650 rpm but when i gently press the gas pedal slowly increase it to 1100 it is fine same at 1400 and 1600 but as soon it touches at 1800 & 2000 rpm the rev needle bounces down and up all the time but if i increase the revs to 2200 onwards it is fine it is always on 1800 & 2000 revs.please can some one give me an idea on how to sort this out, i have cleaned the throttle body and checked the vacumn pipes they are not cracked. much appreciated

hi i think i saw that this afternoon look like a switch in a silly place next to the exhaust on the tranny there is like a rubber grommet covering the switch would this be it and i thnk there is one bolt holding it in place.can you give me a description of what it looks like so i can be sure i have got the right one.i am currently getting code 67 and the drive of car when driving over 40 mph the revs drop from 2000rpm to approx 1600 and its like i have took my foot of the accelerator and it feels like a slight jolt something like that.would either cleaning or replacing help many thanks

yes all the trye pressures are 36 psi all round and all have at least 5mm tread left if not more

my 1994 ls400 wanders over 50mph particuly on motorways in any lanes but the one that really does it most is the left lane where the truck drive on and the tarmac has a slight dip where the trucks go oover all the time, if i drive in that lane from 50 plus believe me it is very scary it feels like the car wanders off on it own and i dont feel safe to drive this car any more but it does it all the time in any lane, it feels like a crosswind to give you an example the car wants to go left and you have to compensate for it it or right please does any 1 have any ideas to this please as i have a 8 year old and 1 year old kids in my car thanks steve

i have a ls400 1994,some of the buttons on my dash is not lit up.yet some of them are.the functions of the buttons are working fine,but most of them are not lit up,can some please help me on how to replace the bulbs. thanks

:D thanks a lot chip one more point i have replaced the brake discs front and rear and the pads have good thickness on them about 5or 6 mm but at 70+ when you have to brake hard there is a shudder felt though the steering wheel any advice cheers steve
