  1. Help! When I purchased my is200s, I got the garage to change the timing belt (96000 miles), but on my drive home approx 20 miles later the engine warning light came on. It seems to be running OK and the garage said it was the cam sensor needed changing - code P1346 bank 1 vvt. They have now changed it but the light has come on again with the same code. After searching the forums, it seems that the timing belt looks like it could be 1 tooth out, but my question is: Would the car seem to run OK if just one of the cam pullys was 1 tooth out? If it would, then I need to tell the garage what to do as it is looking that they are a little incompetent. The reason I'm not going to lexus yet is that I got 2 yrs warranty and am loath to part with my money when the garage should pay! Any help and info will be much appreciated. Thanks
  2. I picked my new key up yesterday. At last I have a spare! It took me 5 mins to program the immobiliser and the central locking instead of paying Lexus £60. That would equate to £720/hr..........I think not!!! Anyway, just thought I'd let you all know how easy it was with the info from these forums.
  3. its a characturistic of the "fly by wire" system, more evident when the car is stationary Thanks Mat I'll have to change my style of driving then!
  4. Hi Guys Does anyone else have the same problem as me? When I press the accelerator peddle on my IS200, there is a delay of about 1 second before the engine actually responds. Is this just one of those things I will have to live with, or are there any fixes out there?
  5. Hi Folks This is my first post after only joining a couple of weeks ago, but I have got some good information that I have needed from you all. Thanks for that. Anyway, I have read about a few of you having key problems at a great cost, and thought you might like this information: I have just ordered a new master key(3 button) from LEXUS GRIMSBY at a cost of only £89 uncoded, or £138 coded. It seems a lot less than some of the quotes I have read so far. They are on 01472 350659. LEXUS HULL quoted me £177 coded!!!!!! Keep the good info coming - it is needed for people like me who don't like to part with their money!!!! Thanks again Ewan.
