  1. Hi there, I have an annoying rattle coming from the fornt left hand side of the front of the dash board. I think that I have narrowed it down to the light sensor which is mounted on a flexible piece of plastic. Is this the same on all RX300/350s or are they ever mounted on a solid base? Can anyone help me fix the probelm (packing out the dash perhaps). Cheers, Stuart
  2. Hi BHives. By 'tub' I assume that you mean the removeable ash tray. If so, then this is empty. I have managed to fix the problem however, and this is what I did. 1. Accelerate quickly. 2. Listen for the 'object' to 'roll' backwards 3. Hit the brakes hard. 4. Listen for the 'object' to 'roll' forward After 3 or 4 iterations of the above the sound disappeared. I felt very pleased with myself. Later that day I was re-packing the centre console with the usual clutter when my hand brushed the rear wall of the console. The sound made was a crack-crack-crack sound, much like a slowed-down sound of a screw rolling down plastic! This may have been the cause of the problem after-all.
  3. Hi, thanks I've just booked it in with them to check it out. I am just a little concerned that it might be something that has dropped into the console from normal use - I don't want to get landed with a big bill for investigative work. I'm going to give it a good looking at this weekend to see if I can't find th ecause of the rattle.
  4. Hi there, I wondered if anyone might be able to help me on an annoying problem I have with my RX300. Before it went in for a recent service I noticed that the light censor on the front dashboard was 'buzzing' at cruise speed. I asked Lexus about it and they said that they would 'pack-out' the dash under warranty. When I drove it I found that the buzzing has now stopped but another anoying rattle had started - seemingly from within the centre console. I can only describe the noise as sounding like a bolt/screw rolling along hard plastic when pulling away or stopping. Has anyone else experienced the problem and/or does anyone know how I can remove the centre console from it's runner to take a peep at what's underneath....? Cheers, Stu
