OK bit of a problem. We have some large crows or rooks that seem to have a task for rubber !!! I have know for a while that they like to sit on top of my Animal L200 pickup and lick the water of the screen but the they started pecking at the rubber around the door. So up to now they have damaged the two pickups & one of my staff's car and my dad's car. but then they went to far :duh: they have been sitting on top of the IS200 and have pecked out all the soft rubber surround on the sunroof. :( does anyone know if you can get just the rubber surround or am I looking at the sunroof glass & rubber ! and has anyone got any suggestions on how to get rid of the birds. Thanks for the help !! Spoke to a mate who is a service manager for skoda !!!! (the group he works for owns a lexus dealership) he had an inside word and Yep try the Oil. The syncro should allow you to change into first from around 15 mpg !! I think thats a bit fast. I am going to have the oil changed and will let you all know thanks again for all the driving tips

been looking through them all eveing !! everyone has problems going up the gears 1st to 2nd my is fine in all gears up the box !! but coming down from 2nd to 1st it just does not seem to want to go in sometimes. My mate who is a spanner !! explained that changing my oil might help !

I have a IS200 1999 35k on the clock. When I change from 2nd to 1st from around 10 mph to 2 mph you sometimes it will not go in but as you put presure on the stick to get it into 1st you get a gear clunk it could be the synchromesh ? Has anyone else had this problem and has it been fixed The car is under a 3 month RAC warranty I think I should give it to the RAC ? but would you trust them !! ;)

I had this problem with a car that had low proflie tyres and I swoped the front with the back wheels and it went away.

yep that the sort of thing ! I am based on the Wirral the bit between North Wales & Liverpool !

I have priced up a replacement fuel filler flap & a repaint, and was wondering if there is anyone who does a complete replacement that is not a lexus original ?
