Folks,
Im looking for a bit of advise. I've got a 2000 RX300 with 80k on the clock. I've owned it since 8k, great car, in good condition. Just got the car back from a service (non dealer cheap option - big mistake!), and the gearbox is reluctant to move into second gear, and once in judders through to third. Lexus want to change the gearbox completely, although strangly tell me there is no fault codes on the car (would this be right?!).
Im happy to have the car fixed in England, seems no real auto shops in Scotland, but could someone advise who they may have had good experiance with?
I've tried the obvios stff like changing the oil. No debris of note in the sump either.
