So...got a good deal in end... £351 from elephant.co.uk that is garaged, protected no-claims and £250 excess, up to 7k miles a year..
Shapped around and elephnat were the only ones to actually call me back and took £30 off the renewal if I signed up there and then....
....Funnily enough the previous company (Admiral) offered to "try and match" when i called to cancel... very amusing since Admiral and Elephant are the same company....
I'm assuming A-Plan wasn't competitive for you ....so far A-Plan has been very competitive for many members' on here :winky:

Everyone's talking about A-Plan...so gave a call on behalf of my missus on her car insurance (renewal)...took all details and said they will call back with a quote....but not a single call back :o That was couple of weeks ago... ;)
Apologies for this, as per my PM, I hope we have now sorted this for you
That was an abosulte stunning quote...but i'm afraid my missus has already taken a new policy and 14 days has passed to get the money back from the new insurance.
A plan, quoted her for around £350ish (can't remember to the penny ) and her current insurance £340.................yes, yes I know her new one is cheaper but it was TPFT and A-Plan was Full Comp :o
A real shame but defo' she will be in touch next year...and i'm pretty sure you will beat her renewal or any other quotes :)
Thanks Alistair :D
p.s. mines due Jan 07...I will be in touch sooner than her :winky:

Sony said the ps3 will be region free for games, bluray is also supposed to be region free for movies too, yet to be seen.
Well my laptop is region free so far and seems all Blu-ray discs will be also...I managed to play Region 1 film...(here) BD rom region is greyed out and still says 5 remaining ...saying that I await UK BD (region 2 when available)...it may change!?!?! ;)

I've seen that before on Ebuyer...but decided to go for this! Just came out on the market retails at £80...but have managed to get it for £55! I will be running on full 1080p and don't want a stupid cable to ruin the "potential" performance and quality of the image Will let you all know how this performs :winky:
more info here but haven't bought it from them...

A friend recommended DVD Shrink for copying DVDs (which I don't want to do) and DVD Catalyst for ripping them to play on portable devices (which is exactly what I want to do). It lets you specify device type, eg, iPOD or set screen size manually, then set video and audio quality and it shows you a projection of the file size. Looks good tho not tried it yet.
Sorry to bring this up...but have you tried the "DVD Catalyst" Any good Free to download
Anyone else can recommend DVD copy and DVD ripping program What's the best one to go for Windows? Ideally free to get or download.. :P :)
