  1. A question for Mat -

I don't mean to criticise or be personal, but I was wondering what you made of the public reaction?

Is it important to have people's backing or is it a case of heads down get on with the job in hand?

    I was just curious....

  2. I have read here about sometimes fuel nozzles at petrol stations not flowing well, and sometimes you have to move them around and stuff.

Well yesterday I did that ant my local shell garage and in my cack-handed way managed to break the spring that flips open the flap! :(

The nice folks at Lex. Canterbury fixed it up for me and said "Oh I have done that too"

Was he just being nice to me or has anyone else managed this feat?

  3. You're quite right about silver not showing the dirt so much. With granite I have condemed myself to a lifetime of washing the car

But when its all nice and shiny - - - Its soooooo nice :D :D :D

Its looks like it has flecks of gold through it and just looks so rich and smooth and !!!!!!!!

Perhaps it does have gold in it, and thats why they could only afford to put on such a thin coat?!! :P

I think if you're going to have a new car, have a different colour. It may make it feel newer in some strange way, rather than a straight swap, or something. Err - I'm getting myself confused now so should stop.

  4.

I stayed over at a farm in the middle of nowhere last night. This morning the farmer had to tow me up the hill in his beat up old land rover!!! The shame of it. I'm glad no one had a camera!

I was fine once I hit the main road though. The snow setting seemed to do O.K.

  5. Thank you to you all!

    How nice.

You may see me zipping around Kingston upon Thames at some point!!!!

Unfortunately I have to attend a conference in Feb. otherwise I would love to meet you all at Brooklands, especially as its just round the corner.

Ah well, maybe next time. I'll do some pics when I can borrow my mates digital camera!

Also everyones cars look so shiny. What's your secret? A couple of runs down the A3 and the granite sure looks dull.

  6. Hello everyone,

After 'lurking' round here for a while, I am pleased to announce that I too have got myself a used IS200SE in Granite and after my first week am already deeply in love!!!!

    :D :D :D

Also I think everyone here should give themselves a big pat on the back for making this a top forum!

    Cheers Guys (and Gals)!!
