Is it OK to use my IS250 to jump start another vehicle without damage to the car computer ?

Our IS200 petrol, '99 model, automatic, suddenly won't go when drive gear is engaged, tried reverse, low etc. but nothing, the engine revs but no movement..any ideas on the possible problem and cost to fix....?
