It looks great, i was thinking about giving him my wing mirrors to do as well. To be honest I thought it was going to be a gamble but it is great stuff, cant wait for the other parts to be ready.
-
That looks awesome! Any chance he might wanna do mine next? ;)
Lol, He is starting his window tinting and wrapping business soon.

I cant have any idea how you must be feeling.
Surely someone must know something to help you somewhere ?
I am told that nerve damage can repair itself but takes a very long time.
Fingers crossed for you fella.
i've been told it will be round 7 - 12 years for it be repaired
-
Sorry to hear this Fugu As Chris says it must be worth getting a 2nd opinion
Surely though if it is the case, then I'm sure they can do IS's under the mobility scheme, maybe worth having a chat with your friendly dealer to see what they can offer
I have no options, i was medically discharged from the armed forces, i've every single test available to determine. From lumber puncture to testing my brain. I thought i'd get away with it to be honest, been on the phone and told i'd be ok with an automatic... which is no good to me as i have a brand new (to me) car wasting outside! i paid 7k cash and also paid my insurence upfront. i've been s**t on from an almighty height. i actually feel sick.
-
dont know if it winging goes in here, Just had a letter saying i can no longer drive due to having damaged nerves in my arm. to say im gutted would be an understatement, i've had my lex for less than 3 weeks and it has to go.
doesd anyone know a good bridge?
-
Hell, we could have a Devon / Cornwall meet if you all came down the same time
I am close to you Fugu so probably wave at each other some time when I am visiting the father in law in Plympton
Was on Marsh Mills yesterday at 5 pm, what a lot of fun that is ,,,,,,,,,,, not
Have you ever seen traffic lights change as quick as they do ?
marsh mills can either be a blessing or a desaster! if you ever see my grey lex around gizza beep.
-
Whereabouts mate, usually travel there on an annual basis - been going since I was a very young lad :)
Jamie
i live in plympton which is just outside of plymouth, but the rest of my family live near the city center in an area called stoke.
-
Ahhhh, you're a Plymouth lad are ya :)
Glad to hear all wen well ;)
Jamie
Well im a Hull lad born & bred, but now live in plymouth with my family.
-
Ok, i took advice and decided to get the back end out and practice (on grass and once on road) and all i can say is i'm so pleased i did!!!
Last night i was driving from Plymouth to plympton (for those that know it) there is a junction call marsh mills, as i went round and to joint the slip road i hit a puddle and the back end came out big time. All i can say is practice makes perfect, at first i was scared and a little jumpy (heart pounding), but because i knew how to control it i never panicked or hesitated, gained control and carried on.
I really feel had i not practiced i would have lost it big time.

lol, let me explain...
I was claying my car, for some reason i unlocked the car and popped the boot which was where i had all my cleaning stuff. i opened it up and throw the keys in so i could use both hands, i thought id start at the boot since it's the easiest bit, so i closed it...
However i never saw a problem since the car was unlocked and i could just either get my spare fob from the car or just pull the lever. i did my bit and went round to open the drivers door
but it had obviously locked itself again, something i never thought would happen... especially since i've never even heard of it on any car!
it wont happen again, but hey, live an learn! (and i cant leave my car alone for 2 secs, so i havent had time to read the book!)
-
Thats correct mate.
Stav
thank you very much. another day another lesson learnt!
-
yeah, AA do it for free... i felt so daft it was unreal. so if i unlock the car via the fob then open any door it will cancel the auto lock? does it matter if i shut that door again?
-
Not even a week and i locked my keys in the bleeding boot and the car locked itself.... is there a way to turn the auto lock off? its a great idea, however i can see it causing me all kinda problems while im tinkering or detailing?
or am i the only muppet to do it
