  2. sorry to hear that.

    but sell the is200 and get a 300 :D

the problem is at the moment it say driving full stop! after a few calls i found out i "may" be allowd to drive manual.

i've found myself just watching movies in it today to get my money out of it...

  3. I cant have any idea how you must be feeling.

Surely someone must know something to help you somewhere ?

I am told that nerve damage can repair itself but takes a very long time.

    Fingers crossed for you fella.

i've been told it will be round 7 - 12 years for it be repaired

  4. Sorry to hear this Fugu :crybaby: As Chris says it must be worth getting a 2nd opinion

Surely though if it is the case, then I'm sure they can do IS's under the mobility scheme, maybe worth having a chat with your friendly dealer to see what they can offer

I have no options, i was medically discharged from the armed forces, i've every single test available to determine. From lumber puncture to testing my brain. I thought i'd get away with it to be honest, been on the phone and told i'd be ok with an automatic... which is no good to me as i have a brand new (to me) car wasting outside! i paid 7k cash and also paid my insurence upfront. i've been s**t on from an almighty height. i actually feel sick.

  5. dont know if it winging goes in here, Just had a letter saying i can no longer drive due to having damaged nerves in my arm. :crybaby::crybaby: to say im gutted would be an understatement, i've had my lex for less than 3 weeks and it has to go. :crybaby::crybaby:

doesd anyone know a good bridge?

  6. Hell, we could have a Devon / Cornwall meet if you all came down the same time

I am close to you Fugu so probably wave at each other some time when I am visiting the father in law in Plympton

Was on Marsh Mills yesterday at 5 pm, what a lot of fun that is ,,,,,,,,,,, not

Have you ever seen traffic lights change as quick as they do ?

marsh mills can either be a blessing or a desaster! if you ever see my grey lex around gizza beep.

  7. Ok, i took advice and decided to get the back end out and practice (on grass and once on road) and all i can say is i'm so pleased i did!!!

Last night i was driving from Plymouth to plympton (for those that know it) there is a junction call marsh mills, as i went round and to joint the slip road i hit a puddle and the back end came out big time. All i can say is practice makes perfect, at first i was scared and a little jumpy (heart pounding), but because i knew how to control it i never panicked or hesitated, gained control and carried on.

I really feel had i not practiced i would have lost it big time.

  8. lol, let me explain...

I was claying my car, for some reason i unlocked the car and popped the boot which was where i had all my cleaning stuff. i opened it up and throw the keys in so i could use both hands, i thought id start at the boot since it's the easiest bit, so i closed it...

However i never saw a problem since the car was unlocked and i could just either get my spare fob from the car or just pull the lever. i did my bit and went round to open the drivers door :whistling:

but it had obviously locked itself again, something i never thought would happen... especially since i've never even heard of it on any car!

it wont happen again, but hey, live an learn! (and i cant leave my car alone for 2 secs, so i havent had time to read the book!)
