  1. Thank you to Stringbender for directing me to the many previous postings on this problem. This certainly confirmed to me that I was not the only one with this complaint. Anyway, the " lurching" on my RX 300 has been so bad that I sold it back to the dealer yesterday although it was only 18months old. Of course there was some pain with the depreciation but I felt the offer was fair.the only alternative was to pay in more for a 350 or hybrid and I wasn't prepared to do that. My local dealer in Poole handled the case sympathetically but he was limited in what he could do since Lexus GB are pretending the problem doesn't exist. What a great pity and what a major strategic error for a company trying to establish the Lexus brand in this country. They've lost my custom permanently so it's back to the german marques again for me! Good Luck ! Heatherlea
  2. I have just joined the forum, largely to see if I was the only person experiencing this annoying problem. This was certainly the impression I was given by my dealer. What a surprise to read the dozens of posts on your forum describing exactly the problem I have with my car i.e. lurching forward at slow speeds, impression of not knowing what gear was needed, trouble at roundabouts and speed-bumps etc. I bought my RX 300 new in January of last year and since then the car has been in and out of the workshop on numerous occasions for this fault. The computer has been reset 4 times. The throttle has been changed. The differential has been replaced. recently, the ECU was changed. Regrettably, the problem is the same and I have had enough!! What success has anyone had in getting compensation or a special deal to change or dispose of their car? Have Lexus GB done anything? Is there any point in going to Trading Standards claiming that the car is " not fit for purpose" I would be grateful to hear of your experiences before I take my next steps as I am definitely not going to suffer this car any longer.
