  1. Hi...despite our dealer checking the car last year and saying we were not affected..they are now asking to replace the drivers airbag, via warranty of course. Apparently Lexus have had a rethink...anybody else being asked to have this done?

(Offerred replacement car so hoping i get a few miles in a current IS)

  2. We bought ours a few months ago from Lexus dealer and it had 17k on it but 10 years old. The dealer changed the belt as part of the sale prep - without asking

I always thought time had an effect as well as use

  3. Hi Shaun - great decision - we are loving ours and i am sure you will too

The boot should stay up by itself so the struts must be shot. If you search around i am pretty sure you can buy some aftermarket relacements and fit them yourself in no time.

  4. Very nice indeed. I did not realise that the this was the no-plate look. As you say, a nice centre cap and they will look the dogs - though they look pretty good as is.

I wonder what the logic was in putting such a large disc on in the design stage

  5. I take it all back re we buy any car.

Our SC replaced an SLK and we had struggled to get interest on eBay. I checked wbac on recommendation of a friend and was staggered at the good price offered. I took it down within the hour and they revised it down only 100 quids for some stone chips and door scuffs. Very pleasant experience actually and came away a happy with more money than i would have accepted yesterday

Providing the dosh turns up in my bank on Thursday, and i have no doubt it will, i will take a large bite out of my hat

  6. I think the company you refer to is in the same league as the gold buyers and the payday loans people or what used to be the Pawn shops - still are i think. That is, if you need the money they are buyers for sellers in distress. If you dont need it there are better alternatives.

Our economic climate enables them to thrive .... sadly

  7. This is Pearlescent so does look a bit sparkly in the sunlight (when we get some) but not easily confused with cream. May not be unique here but definately un-common. No issues at all so far and SWMBO is loving it.

On the wheels front - i was prepared not to like the dinner plates but actually now think they look fine. Ours does not have run-flats but has a bottle of gunk and compressor in the bootspace - happy with that too.

The only thing i would change is the ariel - really dates it
