  1. mine does the same,

push the car harder in the corners and it goes away.

can only think that the sport with harder suspention than gs 300 is the cause

my last car 325 bmw was the same,

first got mine in february, it was like that when i bought it , i then put 275x35x18`s on the back

    and still the same.

i have really hammered mine on some corners and the road holding is unbelievable for such a large car.

will go round corners a lot better at speed than the 325, which i also uprated from the standard springs.

    i would say don`t worry

  2. i too have the same problem, phoned lexus last week toorder a new wheel and asked them,

they said if i do not have the key number they could still get it by doing a toyota search ( presumabaly using the car`s vin n0 ) i would have to take the car to them along with proof of ownership and estimated around £200 for 1 key.

if i lose the one i have now then the complete immobiliser will have to be changed £2000,

think me goin for the key option.

  3. depends what you call reasonable???

the best price new i can find is bentleys @ warrington

    tel 0800 7838478

    part no: 01700100003 18x10 9 spoke

    £342 + vat

lexus dealer vary from £633 to £722 + vat but will only sell them with tyres ( pirelli p0`s )

    going to order one today.

also jap spares instockton on tees ( breakers ) have some in but want £300 each and they say they will need re-furbishing

have new toyo proxes s1`s on at the moment and seem to be excellent handling, what they wear like i will be able to say in a few months.

    hope this helps

  4. any of you have one lying around?

one of mine is beyond repair and so need another urgently as i am running one 10" and one 81/2" on the rear. `97 mk1 gs 300 sport.

or anyone know of any lexus breakers/salvage yards.

failing that i am gonna have to cough up at dealers for a new one

    thanks in advance

  5. just purchased the proffesional mains model, two handed grips, two bonnet covers

rrp was £39.99 at motormania, now on sale at £16.99 seems a good buy,

used it on my bmw last week and was brilliant on the large areas, willbe trying it on the lexus when the weather comes right

  6. thanks for the replies,

    the switch makes sence now,

the long black thingy is still a mystery as the high level brake light is in the rear spoiler and there is a speaker also on the rear shelf, but also this long black plastic cover.

i was comparing the acceleration to my last car bmw 325,

only had it three days and love it otherwise,

the comfort and quietness is something else,

got to go........ needs polishig again

  7. just got a mk1 gs300 sport

whats the long black thingy on the rear parcel shelf,

don`t seem to have a traction control switch as it says in the handbook, did some get made with and some without?

switches to the right of the steering wheel and lower down, there is a button that presses in and unlocks with the ignition key...whats that for?

overall very nice car but dissapointing on the acceleration.

    thanks in advance

  8. new to this forum,

had bmw`s for the last 10 years and decided to have a change, been looking at the mk1 gs 300 sport model.have looked at a couple these last few weeks but today went to look at a 97 on a p plate

    46k miles

    seems spotless

    10" rears

    full service history

sold as trade but the car looked and drove right and the bloke selling it says he is doing so for one of his employees.

    hpi checked with certificate

asking 9750, seems a bit on the cheap side for me / for what it is.

    anything to look out for

    any comments on this model

    all info appreciated
