  1. A cheap way of doing it is to connect an MP3 player through the cassette deck with a tape insert adaptor.
  2. I only think it is drive shaft because it is attached to the gearbox and it does clunk when coasting which suggests to me some sort of slack. I must admit that it feels more like back end. The odd thing is that it doesn't happen in 4th and is worse in 5th/6th at speed.
  3. I have noticed vibration which feels like the drive shaft in 5th and 6th during motorway driving. Is there anything that can be done to get rid of it?
  4. Certainly worth checking. My gut reaction though is that it is the drive shaft or differential. However, there are no clunks at low speed in high gears though a bit of gearbox whine. Why the vibration and loud thump should happen coasting downhill in 6th I am not sure. Thanks for sharing your experience on this one.
  5. My experience was that it was definitely heard and felt and I wonder if it can be reduced.
  6. I did a long test drive of my newly purchased IS200SE and found a vibration when I take my foot off the accelerator going down hill at speed in 6th gear. When I then accelerate there is a loud thump which comes from the area of the boot. Has anyone any idea what this is due to? What can I do to remedy the problem?
