  1. Well managed to find a lower suspension arm lower ball joint from ebay at £39.99 which is ordered. I also found a place on there selling a pair of is300 track rod ends at £28 a pair ! They look exactly the same as the one i took off but does anyone know if they are interchangeable or not ? I have asked the seller for dimensions and/or a part number to check it out any help would be greatly appreciated, as I'm having to use the missus' 206cc which is like a go-kart ! By the way have 4 white lexus decals curved for use on front calipers if anyone wants them let me know (bought pack of 6 while ago and only used 2 on front)
  2. Cheers mate sort of figured that last night after my last comment . I was being a dipstick and thought the front of the hub was the actual grease cap but then found it on the back of the hub assembly . But now my problems have gone from bad to worse. For the sake of saving myself around £50 by getting the hub assembly off myself I have probably cost myself about £100 more - track rod end seal split new one £50, and the seal on the hub to lower suspension arm connection also the same problem so looks like won't be DIY'ing anymore :shutit: Cheers for advice anyway
  3. I would take the whole hub pal as they will have to press the new bearing into that then press the hub onto it just becareful off removing the abs sensor out of the hub carrier as they can stick plenty of wd40 on it is advised. Also make sure you got the front real as the old one normally gets ruined Cheers mate but what about the grease cap is it a case of putting a bolt in then tighten it to effectively push against the shaft therefore pulling the cap off ?
  4. Hi all , trying to remove my front hub for bearing replacement and am currently stuck !!! I cant get the grease cap off but I know there is a threaded hole in the middle so is it a case of putting a bolt in there and tightening it to effectively push the cap off ? Also I am taking it to local garage for them to remove the old and press the new bearing into place so would it be necessary for me to remove all the suspension and take the full hub assembly with shaft for them to do this or just the actual wheel part of hub ? Many thanks (still have to get round to photos )
  5. Hi all, Been owner and member for about 18 month but have yet to use the forums much apart from searching for fitting tips. I am after some info on some fairly cheap =) mods for my IS200 SE '52 plate....... all I have managed up to now is to paint and decal the calipers on the front (waiting for decent weather for rear !). I also need to replace the front bearings found some on fleebay for 56.50 plus p+p , ordering these at the w/e. But while searching for them found front and rear grooved drilled discs and pads fairly cheap so wondering whether to bother with these. Sorry to go on but I also need replacement ns headlight washer with cap as mine has been snapped off from the stalk =( so anyone got 1 available would be interested in a pm with price. Cheers (will post pic when I find out how) nOOOOOOb rules
