  1. Hi it could be that the caliper has seized. The front is a two pot caliper and one of them could be seized, hence the warping. And yes replace the pads and rotors, once the issue has been rectified. How do i tell if the caliper is seized? After going for a test drive I noticed that one caliper is slightly hotter than the other, is that because of the rotor or a seized caliper? I would say if one rotor is hot than the other and there is more brake dust on the alloy, compared to the other side, you have a seized caliper. Its a fairly common issue. I removed the wheel today and checked the disc, the inner side has worn away and extra 1.5 mm compared to the outer side which leads me to believe that the caliper is seizing. Also the disc has thickness variations of upto 1.5 mm on each side :S
  2. Hi all, I have come the the conclusion that my standard brakes are on the way out, as i have warped front rotors and a binding caliper. I am thinking about waiting a month or two and going all out on a set of 8pot brakes. Has anyone had any experiences with the G4 Racing / Ksport 8 Piston Brake Kit? Are there any issues with the kit? Also are there any other decent kits out there that I should be aware of? Cheers, Elliot http://cgi.ebay.com.au/G4-8-Pot-330mm-Brak...VQQcmdZViewItem http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Ksport-Big-...QsspaenameZWD1V

  4. Hi Everyone, I'm new to these forums. I have a 1999 IS200 Luxury and noticed vibration's from the front wheels under breaking (especially heavy breaking) from 70km/h+. Today I jacked the car up and it turns out my front right rotor is slightly warped, when i spin the wheel it snags on a certain part of the rotor and the wheel stops spinning after a couple revolutions. Now is it safe to be driving round with a slightly warped rotor? Will this cause bigger problems if i keep driving on it? From what I understand both front rotors need to be replaced as well as pads, is this correct? Any help would be greatly appreciated Thanks, Elliot
