  1. Hi I've a 2004 IS200 which seems to have developed a slight fault. When I change into (usually only) 4th there is a slight dip in the revs when pulling away. This isnt as would be the case with bad driving! Its similar to the sound an automatic would make when changing up a gear. The acceleration seems ok, but just a dip in the engine revs. Has a full LSH, (apart from I'm a few months overdue, due to job issues ) 60k miles an all else is fine. It only seems to happen in 4th, although maybe 5th too. Think I'll turn the radio down for a while and listen carefully now... Any ideas? Thanks in advance chaps.
  2. Hello I just thought I'd say hello to you guys after joining LOC. I have just bought a platinum ice IS200 SE with aero body kit and 18" wheels. A bit new to all this, the car is cetainly an upgrade from my previous W reg Astra SXi!! Paid £9500 (eventually after a while haggling) for a sept 04 (54) with 45k miles and FLSH (well apart from the overdue full service, so you can add an extra £360 to that!) Hope you dont think I have been too ripped off!!?? (NB fom an independant garage in Newcastle. Pics no doubt to follow). I have just rang Lexus about the due service and they quoted £360, so I asked about the gold discount and the bloke said that this was with the discount included, but he 'might be able to get a little more off' is this reasonable? Also I have the error 1 message on the CD player even with shop bought new CDs, this I think is still covered by the warranty, and they said they'll have a look when I take it in. Thanks for all the usefull info I found thus far! wolfwiser. :D
