  1. Hello, I have read tons of posts of here and have pretty much made up my mind to go for a used is300 sportcross. I went to test drive it last week, what a great car! Before I make my final move, I was wondering if you guys could take a look at the engine pics and let me know if there is something unusual from what your engine looks like? Anything on there that is not stock? Again, what a great car. Looking to use this forum not only as member, but a member with the right car! Cheers, -Peter Any responses will be highly appreacited!
  2. Thanks for the link. I am not in the UK but figured it should be close enough. My German is not yet that up to par for me to ask car related questions in the EURO forum ;). -P
  3. Hey Jack, thanks for the info. Yes this is exactly the info im looking for. I came across a AD that mentions that the car has SPORTS package. There are others that do not mention this. This why I wanted to know what options were available at the time when people were buying the car new. Or was the fact that it was a 300 that it had all the available options installed? Thanks, -Peter
  4. Hello, I have been looking all over the net to find out info about the different models/packages and how they differed from year to year for a 300 SX but are not having any luck. Specifically what I am looking for is what options were available lets say on a 2003 300SX. When I am searching for cars (shopping for a used 300sx right now) I am finding some with NAVI package, some with SPORT package, some with Leather package, but nowhere is explained what the difference is or what is in the SPORT package for example. I guess it will also differ from country to country but should be close enough to at least get an idea. The only info I could find was on WIKIpedia but that was not much. Are there any differences in the enging between for example a 2002 and a 2004 SX? Are there any changes inside the car? etc.. etc. Could anybody point me in the right direction? Thanks, -PeterN
  5. Thanks for the info Ian. I wont be driving to the UK to get it installed, thats for sure. But its good to know that it is possible. Because that will definitely be my first "mod" when I buy the SX. -Peter
  6. Hello All, new member here. I am looking to buy a used IS 300 SX. I have been reading through the posts here in the last few days to find out how satisfied people are with this car and what type of problems usually come up. Before I buy however, I have a few questions which I was hoping that someone can help me with. Looking at the US forum, I have noticed that people are mentioning that the 300 sx is not supposed to have a towing hitch. Is this true? If I buy the SX, I definitely need to use it to tow my boat (not heavy < 200 kg). If it is possible, where did you guys buy it and how much did you pay for the part + installation? Did you get it after market or from the dealer? Another question I have is regarding regular service and parts. Could someone give me a rough estimate on the yearly cost of regular service? Also what is standart is 300 warranty? I am still weighing my options and still looking at car sites to find my future is300. I appreciate all your answers. Thanks! -P
