Fitted
New plugs (they were knackered too).....same thing happens
used coil pack.....same thing happens
used injector...PERFECT
Car has been running now for 2-3 weeks and its purrs like a Rolls Royce.

If HID lights are fitted as standard by the manufacturer then its not a problem.
If after market ones are fitted then it also has to have self levelling suspension.

New Law came out in March
Maybe the garage you took yours to are not as strict as others.

Read my post.
It says headlights, not fog lights!

My Toyota Carina was hit up the back end many years ago and the Insurance Company wrote it off.
The fella from the Insurance Company then said that it would be a shame to write the car off as it was in such good condition before the smack, so, would I be happy if they used 2nd hand parts instead of new to repair it.
I said that as long as it looked as good as it did then yes go ahead.
They did and it was an absolutely brilliant job at a third of the price.
Might be worth mentioning that idea to your Insurance Company and body shop people and see what they say.
Good Luck

Normally if the indicators flash faster normal speed then it is a bulb blown/bad connection.

I was tempted to fit HID lamps to my headlights but unfortunately the new MOT laws have put a stop to that.

Hi Guys & Girls
Could any elec techys advise me on my problem.
The FM side of it has packed up, it just keeps scanning for a station.
The MW/LW is ok and so are all the other functions.
Should I be looking at the amp or aerial?
I've got the 2000(W) IS200SE
Thanks in advance

Did mine on my IS200SE Auto 2 weeks ago.
Very easy to do.
Original thickness was 25mm, 16mm can be fitted which is the one I have used.
£80 from eBay delivered by courier the next day.
No problems whatsoever.

Hi guys & girls
Removed both calipers, carriers etc and overhauled them with seals, slide pins and pads due to the sticking caliper syndrome.
Can't now bleed brakes and I also think the calipers are on the wrong sides.
I assume that the bleed nipples should be at the top and not facing down, also can somebody tell me whether the pad with the wear indicator sits on the inside or the outside of the carrier?
On the calipers there is an L on one and an R on the other. This must mean Left and Right sided??
If so, I cannot fit the left caliper on the left side due to the pad retaining clips fowling on the caliper and visa versa on the right.
Could somebody post piccys of clip positions, bleed nipple position etc so I can get an idea where I have gone wrong.
As the title says......... Im having A real senior moment at the mo.
Many thanks in advance

Flashing TRC and management light on could be a number of things.
Get the fault codes read mate, it will save you time and possibly money.

I would certainly suspect either your head gasket has gone or head/block is cracked

Hi
I had the cars 4-wheel alignment and camber done around 6 months ago after i had 4 x new tyres fitted, you could tell from the old tyres the camber was out.
OK so everything was fine until yesterday when one of the tyres needed changing due to a puncture. the puncture was on the passenger side rear of the car, so i needed a new tyre. rather than buying a new tyre i managed to get a part-worn tyre and had this fitted. now bearing in mind the car is rear-wheel drive i moved the front two tyres to the rear and then the new tyre to the front passenger side and the other old driver side rear to the front - i did this so the back two tyres had the same mm tread to avoid causing any problems with the differential.
Right, now i have a problem that when im driving the steering is off, so i have to turn the wheel off to the left to get the car to drive straight!
All tyres are directional and they are installed correctly with arrow pointing in correct direction, I'm thinking it can't be the tracking as it was fine when the tyres were on the front before?
Has anyone got any ideas of what it could be or what i should check?
Thanks
Where did you get your tracking done?

Hi all
Still around and still have my IS200

I believe your unit may be knackered, but, search the forum as there have been loads of posts about this error and quite possibly a fix.
Good luck

Oily Spark Plugs
in Lexus IS200 / Lexus IS300 Club
Posted
When you remove the air filter box there is an emissions pipe(shaped a bit like a question mark) that clips on underneath it and the other end fits onto a union on the rocker box.
Mine was split in the middle and also at both ends where the clips secures it.
The oil mist was coming from it, running along the rocker cover and down into both No1 & No2 spark plug tubes.
Maybe worth checking that little sucker out first.
