  1. Yep, I mentioned the ground zero. After A trip yestedar from Chippenham to Stoke and then to Torquay and back I am on 42mpg.

I was in Lexus Bristol to get a quote for a new Grill after a sucidal Pheasant took it out, a whopping £221 for a bit of plastic, I asked about a new ECU upgrade and was told that there is a general recoall coming out on the 5th Injector and the letters will be going out on Wednesday! So it looks like there is something on the way!

But how would i get the letter if i am purchasing from Stratstone(not Lexus dealer)

i will be the second owner

so would it be better i call Lexus Birmingham and ask what has already been done

on the car as the service book just shows 1 dealer stamp for 1st service

if your car is still in the 3 year warranty bracket, just take it to any lexus dealer and ask, they will change it under the conditions of the warranty :shifty:

  3. have noticed buzzing sound just after switching off the engine, any body had this or know what it might be.

you say buzzing noise? is it coming from the radio console in the middle of the car, when i turn my 220d of there is a slight buzzing noise come from the radio area.maybe it's something to do with the engine turning off (like the immobilizer setting it's self)

  4. Hey Everyone,

I've just noticed that my front Dunlop 17" OEM tyres need replacing, as threads are way beyond legal limit. As all my tyres are Dunlop I will probably go for the same ones, however I was wondering if anyone has any recommendations for a different tyre which is better suited to my car.

    Thanks.

hi i have Continental sports on mine, good tyre, low road noise :shifty:

  6. I can't believe what I'm reading! How can anyone consider S60 superior to 220d? S60 is seriously outdated, it's handling is terrible and, worst of all, Volvo's quality control has been really bad recently. The new S80 is a decent car, but I've already heard of several cases of S80 owners in serious problems with their cars, and by serious problems I mean that the car is utterly unusable, not just these niggles that most of us here are reporting on the 220d. At least two of these cases are not just rumours, since I've witnessed the problems myself! I hope the next S60 will be a different story.

I honestly can't see any reason to go with the S60 apart from if you really must have an auto box with a diesel.

i would agree 100% i had a new volvo s40 t5 se and all i had was trouble with it,in the first 6 months i had 2 new drive shafts fitted, and the service at the dealer in liverpool was garbage, since then i now own an is220d se-l and i am more than happy with the car and the service off lexus chester is a1
