  1. Hi, I need some advise on how to approach this problem. I have now decided to sell my IS200. After nearly six years of ownership I just fancy a change. I have no complaints on the car overall and it still runs as well as the day I bought it (this is not an advert by the way!!). I bought the car from Lexus in May 2002 with 1500 miles on the clock. They are the only previous registered keepers. Anyway, I decided to get the service history in order and could not find my service log book. I ordered a new one from my Lexus dealer (the location shall remain anonymous). Now, I must admit that I neglected the servicing, I’m ashamed to admit it but, I did not have the 50k nor the 60k service. I did not have the full 80k I opted for an intermediate instead. All the servicing has been done at Lexus. I have now done 82k miles. Additionally I had the front and rear pads swapped at 42k and the front pads again at 72k. I received the replacement service book and found the below; Mileage 37340 date 30/03/04 FULL (20k & 30k combined) Mileage 37340 date 30/03/04 INTERMEDIATE (20k & 30k combined) Mileage 37348 date 24/05/04 FULL (40k full) Mileage 65660 date 25/07/06 INTERMEDIATE (70k intermediate) Mileage 80141 date 18/09/07 INTERMEDIATE (70k intermediate) As you can see, it looks like I have only driven 8 miles in two months and had the car serviced just two months apart? The Mileage and dates of the 20k and 30k combined service are incorrect as I have the paperwork for all the other services. I spoke to the dealer and they checked their system which showed the same Mileage and dates as above. Their system also showed even more mistakes, I had the CD player replaced on the 10/11/04. There are two entries for this on their system, both with same date but one entry with a Mileage of 37349 and the other with a Mileage of 43651??? The dealer did not seem bothered that their mistakes were affecting the sale of my car. They understood how it looked but said they could not do anything about it. I was getting quite frustrated with the service advisor until he said he’d speak to his manager but I would not get an answer until Monday afternoon, he basically said “don’t expect us to do anything about this though”. What can I do about this? What would you do? My car runs without any problems anyone who drives it will see it’s in good condition. Everyone who has called about my car obviously asks about Service History, I have to tell them honestly about the mistakes and I’ve not had the 50k and 60k service. After hearing this they don’t want to know. I don’t want to sell my car for less than it’s worth. It's already cheaper than most equivalent cars in Autotrader.
