  1. 48 years old, just under £200 fully comp annually, wife included, Admiral multi-car policy.
  2. Made the mistake of starting and running my IS from cold for only 30 seconds or so whilst putting it in the garage the other evening. Next morning I can't start it. This has happened to me once before and I eventually got it going by persisting with cranking until it fired. This morning I have just about flattened the battery cranking it over. So what's the technique to get it going again ? Thanks for any advice Simon
  3. Hi there, first post - been a bit of a lurker so far. 2003 IS200 Auto (86k). In normal driving I'm finding that when accelerating, engine speeds up in all gears (except perhaps L) to about 3000rpm and then the car speed "catches up". Is this normal ? It's perhaps marginally better when cold (2500-2750rpm or so). ATF level is correct, fluid is perhaps a little on the brown side of red but otherwise clean looking. In all other respects the transmission is smooth, no odd noises, kick-down works ok etc. I guess a fluid change is worth a try but I'd be grateful for any hints / experiences. Thanks in advance. Simon
