thanks for info, mines a 2001 anyone else out there confirm how light should work? just want to know for sure before i start looking at removing clocks to check bulbs on back.

recently bought an ls430 runs great but just have a quick question regarding the engine management light. should it be illuminated when key turned on prior to starting or does it only ever come on if a fault present? if it should come on i am hoping no ones removed bulb (if possible) has anyone experienced bulb failure on this? hope someone out there can shed some light (excuse the punn) thanks for taking time to read this
