  1. I traded in my beloved MR2 Roadster for a more 'reliable' Lexus in November. I must admit, overall I think it's great but I have experienced a number of niggly problems. The main one being with the brakes... After owning the car a few weeks I went on a trip to London (about 3 hours away). After about an hour every time I applied the brake I could hear a clonking/creaking noise relevant to the speed i.e. slow speed = slow clonking/creaking! By the time I got to London the noise was very loud and I could feel it through the pedal. After a trip back to the dealer they said they found a stone in the break pad which they removed. This appeared to have solved the problem. However, recently a similar problem has started to occur. Randomly, when I apply the brakes I can hear a creaking as though something is under strain, sometimes this causes the car to vibrate. Can anyone help me - it's difficult to prove to Lexus and they seem to have no idea! Thanks John
