  1. Hi I recently traded in my RX400h for a nearly-new 450SE-L. I'm still finding my way around the various functions, but my first impression is that there are a number of improvements over the previous model. I'm probably not going to be the most objective as I am already a fan. I had one small glitch with the new car where the rear wiper had come loose from the arm, but the dealer was able to diagnose the problem and the cure straight away over the phone,(thread sealant and a spanner and all fixed in 5 mins). No real criticisms, but a few slight niggles. The interface takes some getting use to. The Sat Nav, Phone and iPod connectivity are all much better once you find your way around, but I still prefer touch screen to the "mouse" control. I prob just need to get more accustomed to it though. Fuel economy is nothing like the stated number. I get about 23-25mpg out of it. This seems to be a common complaint in both this forum and others I've read. Its a 2 tonne car with 3.5L petrol engine and the only way you can really get decent fuel economy is by using the electric motor as much as possible. Ironically, its better for commuting in traffic than on the hilly roads where I live. The parking aids are much better (than the 400h). Rear camera much clearer and brighter at night and also has front/rear parking sensors. Mine comes with the side view camera, but I haven't really had a need for it and doubt I ever will. Otherwise I'm very pleased with the upgrade.
