  1. I have a 1995 LS400. A few months ago the speakers on the right side of the vehicle quit working. I thought it may be the speakers, but then they came on again the next time I started the car. For the past few months, the speakers on the right side of the vehicle sometimes work and sometimes don't. I was told by a local service tech (not Lexus) that it's probably the radio. Before I replace the radio or have the dealer send it out for repair, do you have any suggestions? Thanks.
  2. I have a 1992 SC400 and had the exact problem that you describe. it was the amplifier that is in the trunk (boot?). It is located under the CD-changer. So, you have to remove the CD-changer to get to the amp. If that is the problem, then you need to discove why the amp failed. In my case, the drain line to remove water from the body of the car to under the car runs right by the amp. If it has worked itself out of the drain hole, that area can retain enough water to short out the amp. I pulled the whole assembly out, reseated the drain hose, put sealer around it to hold it in position and then drilled two small holes in the lowest part of the wheel well. (Just to allow any other water to drain out.) I found a new Nak Amp at a salvage yard in Indiana. It cost me $125.00 shipped. Once I got that in, the radio and the tape player worked fine. But, the CD-changer would not work. I finally gave up and was told that a 1996 and earlier CD-Changer from an ES300 is plug compalible to the Nak system. I found one of them in a salvage yard near my home. I went over there, plugged the cd-changer in and it worked. Then my mechanic rigged up some brackets and mounted it in the trunk (Boot?). I hope that this helps. I posted this onfo in teh US forum with a picture of the installation of teh CD-Changer.
